We hosted a private dinning event here for our wedding rehearsal dinner on August 25 2023 (~30 people). The food and atmosphere was perfect, the owner Tanya was so responsive in helping us select our event menu and our beverage selection. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough for a planning a larger family function. Our server Kelly did a lovely job taking care of everyone. I personally had the Rombo (halibut) dish for my entree and it was excellent. The blue berry take on tiramisu also received high marks from myself and everyone who tried it. Our welcome margarita... Wow, it was spectacular, many commented that it was best they have ever had, including some who have gone to finer Mexican establishments. Thank you for playing a in the lead up to the best day of our lives :)
Food was delicious, staff were amazing besides a few mishaps, it happens. All of the wine glasses had water marks and one had a lipstick stain, so I do suggest for a fine dining restaurant that they polish their wine glasses. Overall pretty good

One of the best italian restaurant in Halifax. I had a seafood pasta and I can say it was one the best pastas I’ve ever had in my life. I went to Da Maurizio with 4 friends they were all amazed by the taste of the dishes they chose. One of my friends is a Chef and complimented Da Maurizio’s Chef for the greatest Gnocchi she’s ever had! They are open only for dinner, so it’s an option for a date. They also have a great staff, and an exceptional Wine Menu. Hope to be able to be back soon
Great night out with friends. Service was fantastic and food was amazing (we had the lamb, haddock and veal). We will definitely be returning here. Special thanks to our waiter Sean who was very entertaining and made the evening that much more enjoyable.
We wanted a special restaurant as it was our last weekend away for our second baby arrives. DaMaurizio did not disappoint! From the minute we walked in we felt like special guests. The hostess was so friendly and kind. Our server was funny, knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We started with bread then the spiced olives & bruschetta - all of which were delicious! I had the pappardelle and my husband had the bolognese and they were both 10/10. We finished the meal with espresso, biscotti and tiramisu. As we left the hostess came over to thank us and asked how everything was. We will definitely return!
This was the best steak I've had ever and I'm from Alberta! The food was delicious, service was incredible (Scott our waiter was awesome) and it was the best meal I've had all year 😊
Wonderful food and the service was great! The portion sizes were enough for you to leave full and were full of flavor. I had the duck with fresh orange and cranberry sauce, potatos and a couple of pieces of vegetable. I would go again if given the choice for a special dinner out. Definitely out of my price range to go regularly.
My favorite restaurant for any occasion, they always make the experience feel so special! They have the best Italian food in Halifax, and honestly the best food I’ve had anywhere. I will always come back here.

I don’t write many reviews, but when a place makes an impact on me I like to share my thoughts.
My wife and I enjoyed our 12 year anniversary at Da Maurizio and we wouldn’t change a thing. The atmosphere was nice, the waiter was accommodating and the food was spectacular!
The fresh calamari was soft and delicious. The main courses were to die for. I can go to heaven happy now after having that meal.
The desserts were also amazing. I had pistachio and chocolate gelato and my wife had the dark chocolate mousse. You HAVE to try both.
Best fine dining experience we have had in a long time.
