I just wanna put some kudos out to the staff working today. Me and my pals entered to a line up to the door, a line which didn't really ever stop while we were there, and still got wonderful service. Speedy, friendly, accurate. I can't say enough good things! That line didn't halt, it moved super fast, and people were so friendly!
I don’t even really like ice cream. But this place is awesome! Love the small shop feel and the quality is amazing! Highly recommended!
Great ice cream, friendly staff, and a welcoming environment. Just a short walk from the commons makes Dee Dee's a perfect treat for a family outing. I love the different flavors, and you'll find options that would be hard to find anywhere else in the city.
Visited Dee Dee’s twice in a week! Bourbon salted pecan ice cream on the first visit. Peach lavender and watermelon mojito sorbet for the second. Small patio in the sun on one side. Bench in the shade on the other. Fast and friendly service.

A go-to when in Halifax💯
I've been in Halifax for three years, I got to know deedee's in my first year and I haven't been able to enjoy any other ice cream since. Because deedees always create the most delicious, creative, and high-quality ice cream, they surprise me every time. Female power, queer atmosphere, and trans-friendliness are all qualities that allow deedees to bring a friendlier and brighter character to this community.
The ice cream is pretty good. The staff was really great is letting customers try the flavours. The Mexican Chocolate hits real hard in the throat at the end of the bite so I didn't get it. I ended up getting their chocolate flavour. The Mexican chocolate cookie was good though.
Absolutely love their ice cream, the best I had in Halifax. I did taste many flavours but ended up buying chocolate both the times. I found their waffle cone equally good. It’s soft, and perfectly sweet.
The second time I went, I tried the chicken burrito as well. It was the first burrito I’ve ever had in my life, so I’m not sure if I am the right person to comment, but I did not like it at all. I found it bland, with no flavour at all. Again, I’m not sure if burrito is supposed to be like that or not, but I saw some similar reviews from others as well.
But I would definitely keep going their to have their ice creams. Would try some shakes as well.

Amazing quality product, some of the finest premium ice cream I have had in years. Smooth & creamy, the fruit flavors tasted like eating the real thing! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, very helpful and they answered all my questions! Will definitely be back :)
Absolutely incredible ice cream and sorbet! A friend recommended this place and it lived up to the hype. As they are a small batch ice cream business, flavours rotate regularly.
I ordered the jalapeño ginger sorbet and the berry lime sorbet. I admit I was a bit hesitant but was feeling adventurous that day - however the flavours within each scoop were so complementary! I could taste how fresh the ingredients were, and I liked how the scoops were not too sweet either, and so refreshing. Scoops were rather generous too, especially for the price. Probably some of the best sorbet I’ve ever had in my entire life!
If I had more time in Halifax, I would’ve frequented the business once more but hopefully my review has convinced you to visit it in my place : ) Truly a must-visit!
