I eat at Efendy restaurant consistently and the food never disappoints! Amazing skewers and vegetarian options at this restaurant. Great atmosphere and great service. If you order the mixed kebab plate or the mixed appetizer plate you cannot go wrong! I highly recommend this restaurant as I always go back!

The best Turkish food i ever had. Simply amazing. Do try the cold starter and end your meal with the tea. The hosts was very hospitable and knew the food so well, it just added to the pleasure. Whenever i will go to Halifax again this has now become a mandatory stop for me. Highly recommend!

On my maiden trip to Halifax I decided to give this place a shot. My first impression was that it is a small cute place. I would love to come on a date here.But I came alone this time. The staff was amazing and were considerate of my vegetarian needs. I was skeptical earlier and assumed it to be an expensive place. I ordered a platter and believe me I could eat it there for dinner, packed the rest for brunch and even had some left for a small evening snack next day. Overall the quantity and quality are worth the price. The food was authentic Mediterranean, so suited to my taste buds. Since its been 2 weeks after my visit, I dont remember the names of the contents in the platter but my overall impression was that everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend people to visit

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Halifax. I can’t even begin to describe how good the food is.... I frequently wonder if the meals I've had there are simply the best I've ever had. And there are so many gluten free options and substitutions!!! Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Couldn't ask for a better restaurant experience.

Went here for my birthday. The food was terrific. I had the set course for one. There was enough food for two. The different starters on the mezze were all first class. The service was great. Attentive, but not over-bearing. We will definitely be back. Probably the next time we're in the city.

This place is a gem. The food is fresh fresh fresh and the falafel is the best I’ve ever had. It’s more herbed than spiced and it’s super super crispy. The moussaka was outstanding as was the lamb tenderloin. The accompanying rice was cooked to perfection. The chef’s son waited on us and he was super sweet and thoughtful. I do not give five stars without reason so trust me, this place is great!

Visited them this afternoon for lunch with my family and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed such Turkish food before. So fresh and the meat so perfectly seasoned. Their bread was soft and fluffy and had a slight glaze of butter which was not overpowering. Our server was very attentive and not once did we have to ask her to refill out glasses of water. We ordered 4 plates of the lunch special (2 chicken kebab and 2 shish kebab) and they were all perfect plates of meat, pillaf rice, salad and pita. The serving of humus wasn't very big which was a downside but the lunch serving were filling. Great service and perfectly cooked dishes absolutely deserve a strong recommendation.

Really enjoyed the food here! The pistachio kebap was delicious, all the food tasted very fresh. Probably the best I have had since I was in Istanbul. In an area that has several Mediterranean and Turkish restaurants this one stands out to me as being the best, I would definitely eat here again!

Great, quiet Turkish cuisine downtown! We've been to Efendy a couple of times and it's been great every time. If you haven't had Turkish food before this is a great place to start, and if you're familiar the menu has a lot of good options
