The service is impeccable, the portions are civilized, the wait staff is professional, the ambiance is perfect and the prices more than reasonable. Amazing dining experience; we stayed at the Halliburton and therefore reserved for dinner. Appetizers: the scallops (unreal, delicious, perfect, best I've ever had (53 yrs); charcuterie plate was good. Main course: duck was a good-sized portion, potatoes/veggie sides were succulent; beef striploin was tender and full of flavor; scalloped potatoes were excellent. Great service, friendly/polite staff - lived up to its reputation - thank you!!
Very nice little restaurant in an old house, using a couple of rooms on the main floor as the dining area and the upper stories as a boutique hotel. Very limited menu, with 5 items as appetizers and 6 for the main course, all of which look interesting. I choose the goat cheeze appetizer and the duck main course - both very good, perfect amounts, very nicely presented. A good choice when you're in Halifax.
Excellent dining experience starting from the moment you set foot in the door. Staff is professional and very skilled. We had salmon and a strip loin cooked to perfection. And I mean perfect. If you’re looking for that special date or occasion go here, don’t go to the Keg, Press Gang or Bicycle thief. Go here, trust me, the bill will be the same but you’re getting a Michelin grade experience.
My boyfriend and I both agreed it was one of the top three places we have ever eaten. Amazing food. Intimate setting. Lovely staff. Gluten free options are available. The scallops starter was delicious !
This place was amazing. Took my fiancée there last night for Valentine's Day. The staff were friendly. They made every moment feel special. The food was on point. It tasted amazing and looked even better. Will definitely be going here again.
Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!
