Fairly good Chinese food offering in the area. The place near me shut down, so this is the best option in the vicinity now.
A little run down inside, but service was friendly and quick.
Tried one of the regular western Chinese food combos and it came with complimentary tea and included an egg roll which was nice.
I've had better Chinese, but only Golden City trumps this place in Victoria. If you're in the mood for Chinese and around Uptown, I'd pop in.
There also seemed to be a menu on a whiteboard in Chinese only. I might use my iPhone to translate it and try something off of it next visit.
Avoid the nearby Jade Fountain at all costs, it was absolutely dreadful!
Still a good restaurant after all these years, I was craving for some seafood, so I ordered all seafood dishes, all of them were very tasty.

I was at Ho Tong on Friday for dinner with my wife we have been there a few times. We ordered BBQ duck and noodles and crispy ginger fried beef. This is the first time it's been crispy even though it's in the name not all restaurants make it crispy. We both really enjoyed it. I'm already thinking about it next time.
After living In Vancouver and exploring the Chinese culture and their food. I went to dozens of Chinese food establishments. The quality ho tongs produce was rival to the highest end establishment! The food quality was not decreased after covid!! I found Vancouver establishment used the cheapest ingredients possible and reduced quality. Ho tongs have maintained the quality and amazing food for decades ! I am so happy to be back on Victoria to be able to eat at ho tongs again. A must for any local or international visitor. The Staff are amazing. They product top quality Canadian style Chinese food and authentic Chinese food!

Tucked inside looks small but busy .. Ordered KungPao Chicken and Shrimp Curry Noodles.. Quantity is huge tastes good too. We ordered extra spicy still it was not spicy but tasted good. Next time will order double extra spicy but will visit again for sure.
Went the very first time like 4 years ago. It was great then and it's still great now. This time I got duck noodle soup. Will always be my go to place for some Chinese food in Victoria
Had take-out on a Saturday for lunch. Ordered fried rice, lo-mein, SS pork, ginger scallion beef. My wife I both agreed it was the best Chinese take-out we have had in Victoria! This will be our new go-to for take-out now.
Authentic Chinese Cuisine that is a must try if you're looking for quality Chinese food! I recommend the BBQ Duck, Sweet and Sour Pork and Beef Brisket Soup Noodles! The staff are always very friendly as well.
Delicious Chinese food! The price was very reasonable. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Victoria, I was so happy to find out they had my favorite dish Pork Belly with Preserved Veg, we also ordered tofu with seafood pot, beef chow fun and Salt and Pepper Squid. I enjoyed everything but wished the Salt and Pepper Squid had a little more salt.
Food was good and it is a busy place. I tried below 3 items. I liked the chowmin and other 2 dish was ok. They have a lot of varieties to choose from. Definitely a place worth trying.
