My husband and I just stayed here for 2 nights, the staff was welcoming and helpful; not only were the front desk staff wonderful but the Maintenance person helped us find electrical outlet for our Ev car. The decor is a little dated but it is Super Clean and comfortable to sleep at. Very quiet compared to other places we have stayed. Did I mention it is walking distance to Everything!! Including JAM for an awesome breakfast! Thank you all!

Been here for a dozen group reservations. Inexpensive and a great value. Close to everything we needed, friendly staff, not uptight. Late checkout availability till 2pm. Rooms newly renovated and non smoking. The diner-style restaurant reflects the character of the motel: confident, easy going, well worn, clean, tacky, and very approachable.

The rooms were spacious and clean and the atmosphere was quaint and lovely, but the shower temperature varied constantly and would go from too hot to ice cold. Location was great and it's walking distance to anything downtown, and the service was friendly and helpful. Great value for the cost, but beware those showers!

In its hey-day, it was an upscale motor inn; a motel, and a Victoria icon. I stayed 1 night. It was clean and the room was in good repair, although dated. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was simple, but more than adequate for 1 night. The reviews I'd read we're right. There is very little sound insulation and I could hear traffic all night, and even conversations in the parking lot. The shower head was about 5', and it's nearly impossible to regulate the water temperature; it went from freezing to scalding and back again, all on its own. Having said all that, I'd consider staying again. The rates are very reasonable, parking is free, it's clean, and the location is perfect, and breakfast in the classic diner-style restaurant was quick, tasty and reasobable. It's just not the 60s anymore...

Nice place in general, pretty close to down town. The food downstairs is good too, for a decent price. Room was clean and updated, and there was always parking. My only complaint would be the older lady at the front desk on night shift was pretty paranoid and rude to me, but the rest of the staff was great. Particularly the waitress and the restaurant, super fast!

Had a two night stay at Paul's Motor Inn and would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Victoria., especially for events at the Save On foods Memorial Centre. The room was clean & had super comfortable beds. The first night was a little noisy but the second night we used the air conditioner & didn't hear any outside noise. The breakfast at the diner was delicious (crepes) & very reasonably priced.

After just a few blocks you are in beautiful downtown Victoria. The motel has had some really fun inexpensive updates and clean beds. This place is older but well taken care of and unique. Would definitely stay here again. The room had a small frig but no microwave and the pillows were all very soft.

What a great find ! Yes, it is dated but that is part of the charm. Front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was an easy walk to Chinatown and to the waterfront. We'll definitely stay the next time we pass through town.

Great location, place is very clean, staff are friendly, great price for the quality. Included iron, safe, fridge, free WiFi, free coffee and tea, and the history of the business in the room. Beds and pillows are comfy. The food from the restaurant is good also. Family and I really enjoyed everything there

Great location a block away from the touristy area of Victoria if you are a visitor. It's about a 10 minute walk to James Bay, and has a lovely Diner attached to it. Terrific breakfast, dinner and lunch for reasonable prices. Lots of regulars that go there. Clean rooms and excellent service from the staff. Weak wifi is my only complaint.
