This has the best patio and also welcomes dogs. I love lounging on the patio sipping coffee with my dog Dixie.
Best coffee in the city hands down. No matter which location you go to the service is always friendly and fast.
Baristas were friendly and our drinks were good (hot chocolates, London fog, chai tea latte). We were happy that there was a place to go to after dinner on a Sunday night that was open until late (11pm) - that's rare for Victoria! I can't wait until their renovations are complete because the furnishings and overall decor of the place is beyond its years. I'm glad that it's still aroumd though, as its had a staple presence in Cook St village for as long as I can remember.
My Favourite Coffee House. I've been a regular customer of the Moka House that is located in the Cook Street Village for over ten years. Since I don't drink alcohol, I don't go to Pubs. Instead, I go to the Moka House. I'm there almost every day for my favourite beverage, green tea, and something to eat. The menu has recently expanded to include several types of soups-of-the-day. All the soups that I've tried have been delicious; I wish they served larger bowls of it though. Quite often, I will order their granola and one of the three types of yogurt they sell. Their granola and yogurt makes a delightful light breakfast. If I want a more substantial breakfast, I have the Moka House's Breakfast Sandwich. It's a similar concept to McD's Egg McMuffin, but, unlike McD's creation, the Moka House's Breakfast Sandwich is made with excellent quality ingredients and more effort. I've read some people's complaints about the Moka House's coffee. However, I see the same people lining up for the Moka House's coffee over and over again. Obviously, it is good enough to bring people back for more. Some people have complained about the plastic chairs on the veranda. The current chairs are recent replacements, and, they are quite comfortable. The one thing I hope the Moka House changes is their sandwiches. They are quite tasty, but, they are made in-advance and wrapped in plastic. I hope there is a way that the Moka House can start making sandwiches-to-order. Nevertheless, I will continue to eat the sandwiches they serve now if they can't make sandwiches-to-order.
I consider the Moka House located in the Cook Street Village to be a jewel of a coffee house, and, I have no doubt that I will be a regular customer of it for many years to come.
Drink & nosh & ignore the Evil Empire across the street
This is one of my favourite coffee shop in Victoria, i love the coffee beans they use for their coffee, the place is always busy and have cozy place to sit and enjoy my favourite coffee ☕️. Also the banana loaf is super soft and tasty 😋 💫🤗😊🧡🧡
I had a fantastic experience at Moka House in Victoria, BC. The coffee was superb, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot to relax. I'll definitely be returning!
Made the trek out from Langford to come here and it was well worth it.
One of my new favorite coffee shops that I will for sure be going back to.
Nice size outdoor seating area for when it's nice outside as well as some indoor seating.
I've been twice now and the barista was the same both times and was very nice
Convenient Cook Street location. Excellent coffee and specialty drinks. Enjoyed their breakfast sandwich. Eat inside, use their free wifi, or sit at tables outside. Loyalty points available. Friendly staff- we always stop in on our walks.
One of the most beautiful patios in Canada. Love their coffee, treats and sitting outside watching the world go by surrounded by greenery.
Rustic, quaint, lovable: don't miss a relaxing stop at this coffee shop in the heart of Victoria!
You don't need to be retired to be served here, but it does seem to be the beloved go-to place for many friendly, chatty retirees.
Dogs are welcome and there is a water bowl for them; the patio is covered so you can enjoy the street's buzz even when (the long awaited) rain finally comes down.
Their oatmilk latte is big and fluffy, the ice cream sandwich a delicious snack (home made cookies!).
Plus, I can't recall a more charming young bartender: witty, sparkling, clearly loving his job.
We're coming back!
I love absolutely everything about this place, it's my go to every morning they accommodate my dairy allergy with the utmost care, always giving me the Nod to acknowledge that I walked in and they're sanitizing my steamer and the cup for steaming. It's definitely a staple in my life, not just for the dark chocolate Mokas and dark chocolate Chai's but for the staff and environment 🥹❤️🦋🙏
INCREDIBLE service. We were there at probably the worst time - late-morning Boxing Day crush. And the staff were lovely, courteous, sharp and expert at handling our 9 thousand orders. Almost wizard-level. Double their pay and/or tips.

Whatever your hot beverage cravings are, I'm sure Moka House Coffee can deliver. Don't let the name fool ya. In addition to coffee, they also serve hot chocolate, tea, pastries, e. t.c.
Their ample indoor and outdoor seating combined with the fact that they're located in a cute neighborhood make this an ideal spot for a meet-up/date.
Plus they're open till 8!!! I searched high and low for a coffee house that's open "late" and I'm glad I finally found this spot.
One noteworthy thing about Moka House Coffee:
The 5-stars is for their carrot cake. It was simply delicious.
