Locally owned; community-minded; wonderful and eclectic selection of teas; lots of lovely gift ideas; knowledgeable and helpful staff; located right downtown. These are just a few of the reasons why Silk Road is at the top of my list of go-to shops in beautiful Victoria, BC. Highly recommend. :)
The best tea in the city by far! Great selection of natural loose-leaf teas without any sweetener/additives... a really special place in Victoria. (Unique/cute giftware too!)
I like coming to visit the silk road store, at Chinatown in Victoria. All sorts of different types of tea to try. Would recommend if you are a tea lover.
I love, love, love Silk Road. Their tea is the only one that I drink, aside from my own. They also take care of their customers. When I was very ill, they delivered my tea that I desperately needed, very fast, with a get well note. Happy to support them.
Great products and very helpful staff. I bought a cold brew tea carafe and it us excellent, well worth the price. Purchased the Quench Wellness and Sweet Herb to use together to make a very refreshing drink.
Cute tea store but mostly sells blends of loose leaf teas and some health products. If you're looking for a sit-down teahouse or somewhere to get Chinese or Taiwanese teas (think Dong Ding, High Mountain, Pu'erh or similar) you'll be better off looking elsewhere. Good if you're into black tea mixes and more English type teas. Also pleasant selection of kettles and tea cups. Prices about what you would expect for Victoria.
Every cup of tea is so flavorful and delightful. Customer service is amazing and anytime I order online they pack a tea sample for me. ♡ Only downfall is I wish in the descriptions on their website there was more information on the teas like caffeine mg/cup. Overall Silk Road tea is my new favorite eco friendly tea shop.
An interesting shop with so many teas to choose from! They specialize in skincare, aromatherapy, and tea (of course). They also have a spa, which I will have to check out next time! I could not find any information on their spa in the shop itself, but saw many guests checking in for their sessions. The shop is 2 rooms, with a whole room dedicated to tea and teaware, with a tasting bar. They had samples of their angelwater tea which I just had to buy (if you like Aveda's tea, you will love this). The tea is self serve/scoop and priced per the container size (mini, small, medium, large, etc.) with 4 different price schemes based on the tea (there is a colored dot on the back of the tin that corresponds with a price scheme). They have stickers to place on your tins as you fill them. Excited to try these at home!
Their Emperor's Keemun tea is superb. So is the blend they make for the teahouse at Abkhazi Garden.
Awesome, easy to find, very knowledgeable staff and best of all, their products are top notch
Silk road has become the tea shop that my household buys our tea from most often. They have a great selection of Black, Green and Herbal teas, both flavoured and not. We have tried a great many of their teas. Philosopher's Brew, Angelwater, and their Earl Grey are favourites.
We have long loved their superlative teas - their delivery option is a great feature for us on Salt Spring Island because as strange as it might seem downtown Victoria is something of a voyage for us. My order arrived so quickly I thought they must have catapulted it over. Looking forward to further purchases and to sending their terrific products as gifts to friends.
