So good, the 5 taco deal hits the spot, delicious food and good service! the taco soup is equally delicious, spicy and soo tasty! The verde salsa (spicy) is just the right amount of heat.

Some of the best tacos we've had. The meat is seasoned wonderfully, even the chicken. (Which is where most taco shops and trucks fall short, in my experience.) The recipes are family recipes straight from Mexico, and it shows. Even the chips and salsa impressed.
Great food. On the surface this place looks like a generic Mexican fast-food style eatery in a strip mall in Vic West. However, the food is outstanding - the best Mexican food in Victoria in my opinion - and the staff and service are exceptional. After trying almost all of the local Mexican restaurants in Victoria and suburbs, this La Taquisa is the best I've had, and it is also better than the other La Taquisa location on Blanshard.
Tasty, affordable Mission-style burritos in Victoria. The corn tortillas in their tacos can be a little dry, which is a little disappointing because they make them on site, but the burritos are really terrific. They make them however you want with excellent fresh salsa choices, etc. They're quick too, which is great because there can often be a lineup around lunch time. There aren't many seats, but there's a counter to sit at if you just can't wait to dig in.
Love this place. Pork and shrimp tacos are by far my favorite. Gets really busy around lunch but well worth it.
What a surprise. Leaving for Mexico next week and today's lunch was an excellent preview of what's to come. Best in Victoria.
Good food, good service!. We had a cranky (aka hungry) pre-schooler and toddler on Canada Day, we had heard good things about this restaurant and were in the area. We googled it, and gave them a call for take out (didn't want to subject others to our cranky children!). We didn't have a menu, but the lady on the phone was fabulous, very patient and made some great recommendations. We arrived 10 min after calling and the food was ready, it was hot, flavourful, and well worth it (really reasonable prices for the volume of food!). Everyone was much happier after eating!!! Will definitely go back!
Our office is hosting managers meetings this week. We give the small groups options to order lunch. They chose LA Taquisa, always a favourite. I placed the order online and then added one more item after via phone call. I picked up shortly thereafter. Always a pleasure dealing with LA Taquisa! Courteous and friendly. Scott even called me in the afternoon to follow up on the order! I'm sad I missed the call as I was in a meeting. Would have loved to tell him in person how much I appreciate their service and delicious food! Thank you for an amazing meal!
Just wow. The taste is amazing. Highly recommended. Ive been everywhere in Canada and this is by far one of the top places for sure. I have Celiac so ive tried Tacos everywhere and this has to be my favorite. A MUST try!!!
This place is awesome. The food is amazing and fresh. The staff are friendly and generous. I always look forward to coming here and eating a burrito the size of a small child.
Had a great lunch at the Vic West location. I can always count on a delicious meal for a great price when I visit La Taquisa. Best bang-for-your-buck is the 5 taco deal. Fresh-made tortillas can’t be beat.

Their burritos are delicious...when you get a good one. I've had mostly good luck so my burritos were always pretty good. But unfortunately, sometimes you get a mushy flavourless burrito that just leaks liquid.
I'd give it 3.5/5 but I can't select half a star, so I will give the 4/5 since the owner is cool and friendly.
I usually get the 4-person family meal. But we hadn't ordered from La Taquisa in a while. Lo and behold, a container of crisp, fresh, finely shaved purple cabbage replaced the iceberg lettuce which used to come with this meal. Outstanding change! So crunchy. So good.
I don't usually write reviews online but this place totally blew me away! I had been in there once before but I just went in there for the second time today and the customer service was beyond expectations! The cashier was extremely friendly and without asking, went out of her way to give me a printed out menu so I didn't have to read off of the chalkboard too long. In addition to that, when I was walking out I waved and one of the chefs replied with "Thanks Harmonie" as he had remembered my name from when I ordered. This made the experience so personal. The food is really great too and the Baja Fish Style taco was my absolute favourite. Will definitely be back soon.
Had 5 tacos and a jarrito for around $15. Price is reasonable. Had pork, chicken, beef, fish, and ceviche with medium piquante spice. It all tasted pretty good. Service is a little slow as they take their time preparing. Service was good. Overall it was better than I expected.
What a hidden gem — this place is legit. I popped in for a quick bite just before lunch time and in the time I was there, every single customer that came in was a regular that the owner knew by name. The staff was speaking Spanish to each other which is always promising for a Mexican restaurant, they were all super friendly to me, and sure enough the pork chorizo burrito was mad tasty.
It’s a bit pricy at $14 for just a burrito, but worth it for a good meal and to support a local business that staffs and serves good people. If I lived in the area I’d pop in weekly, cause I know I’d get treated good!
