Happy days! Great sunny patio with awesome music choices. Food was excellent, although the balance of the menu could benefit from some lighter vegetable tapas to accompany the fantastic meat and fish choices. We were wowed...and that's saying something. Best meal, bar none in my last year. Including Stage wine Bar. Highly recommended. High fives to our server, who was spot on, and whoever worked the magic in the kitchen, as the timing of plate arrivals was perfect. Well played, you're my new favourite in town.

Spectacular! Exceptional staff team, gorgeous venue inside and out, and the menu is outstanding. Every dish we tried was simply perfect. From the Raw Bar, the Elk Tataki (heavenly; my new fave dish). From the Charcoal Grill, the Charcoal Chicken (so flavourful). Plus warm olives (wonderful), and the Wild and Cultivated Greens (super clean and fresh). Preceded by the best gin martini I've had in a long time, and complemented by a bottle of red that was perfect and perfectly priced. For dessert, the Cinnamon/Coconut Semifreddo was ridiculous in its goodness. :) Thrilled to have this place in Victoria.

Delicious Scotch egg, fun cocktails, good atmosphere, great service. Food and drink portions were a little on the small and expensive side, but the quality was great. There rotating drink menu was on a big board that the server in good humor brought over to our table a number of times. They accommodated our large group well. It was winter so we ate inside, but they had a nice looking patio that I hope to try in the summer. Good for a date or nice dinner. Not good for cheap drinks/food.

A perfect 4 1/2!!! Stopped by on our way to Winefest and the Livet was, once again, the right choice. Terrific and creative cocktails, excellent service and varied menu. We each had a cocktail and shared the broccolini, gomae and kimchi fried chicken. Too much food for two, but we were so hungry I only got a picture of the chicken!! You’ll have to check it out for yourself!!

I was pleasantly surprised with our dinner last night. Great spot for a date, with the trendy decor, rooftop patio, and soft lighting. I remember looking at the menu when this place first opened and thinking I probably couldn't afford to eat here.. Well the menu has changed, the prices are reasonable, the portions were great and the service was excellent! We went for an early dinner before the ballet. Four of us shared a bottle of wine and five menu items: the bread, the olives, the lettuce wraps, the duck confit, and the tuna tartar. Every dish was well balanced and delicious! I wouldn't necessarily call them tapas because the portions for some were large enough to be an entré.. and the menu doesn't really tell you which ones those are! So that's my one complaint. But just ask your server and they can let you know! The menu is limited, but the options are good. For the five dishes (leaving out the bottle of wine, which was expensive!) our bill was $100. The only other thing I didn't love was how noisy it got. Lots if hard surfaces inside, so noise bounces and travels. With the music up it was a bit too much. They take a limited number of reservations, which is a big bonus!

Friendly staff, food is pretty great, drinks are average. Great patio in the summer.

Went here for the first time and give it two big thumbs up!! The patio seating was spaced out enough to make it comfortable and the heaters warmed us up once the sun started to go down. The menu all looked so good that it was hard to make a decision and everything we ate was fabulous (olives, oysters, cerviche, and tuna tataki)! The cocktail menu was unique, which we appreciated, and we really liked the drinks ordered off of it. Great beer and wine selection, too! Can't wait to go back to this unique spot!

Unpretentious atmosphere with an incredible menu. Dishes are served as they are ready and I have yet to be disappointed by a meal here. Fresh flavours and unique plates make this spot one of my favourites in the city. The patio is fantastic in the summertime!

I tried these guys a few weeks ago and Absolutely loved my experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is a perfect in between, it's not not too fancy not to casual. The service and food quality was excellent. The server was able to thoroughly articulate what the dishes were like, creating a complete tasting experience. The dishes were very flavourful and didn't have a lot of filler ingredients. I will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for quality food focussed on flavours.

Both times I've visited The Livet were less than ideal - November (not patio season), and half an hour before closing - however those experiences have made me eager to return. I very much appreciate the kitchen for obliging our order of light snacks so late in their day - thank you. During my most recent visit, the bartender made an excellent G&T with gin from a local distillery. He was well-acquianted with what he was serving, and with a solid knowledge was able to provide very fine service. Also, the soft, low lighting in the evening makes for an intimate setting. Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing time here. Ask the bartender for "The Janine" cocktail! We had the garlic ribs and shrimp wontons along with various cocktails. Service was top notch, Fun place! Music can be loud so if you don't like that sort of thing maybe go elsewhere. Personally, I loved it!

Came in for drinks and appies. Had such a wonderful experience. The server was so kind, attentive and professional. We asked to sit on the patio on a windy day and the wind actually blew a glass of water on our server and he still remained so kind and amazing ! The owner made the effort to come say hello to us and introduce himself which was the most amazing experience. Would highly recommend and come back !
