What a fantastic place cannot sing its praises enough. The food is creative and delicious and the sake selection is insanely good. What is the cherry on top of the cool place is the staff, they are so thoughtful and friendly. They remembered our names on our second visit, I’ve seen customer service here like I haven’t seen in years. Sean and his wife are really great people and Mike and I wish you all the success in the world because you are rare. On our way for another visit shortly, do yourself a big favour and do the same!
Am always looking to try new experiences, especially with Japanese-style food, and walked away extremely satisfied with my experience at E:Ne Raw Food and Sake Bar.
The ambiance of the location is of a very traditional Japanese style that I would actually find in Japan!
Great and diverse menu options, with an incredible sake selection.
And to our surprise, sake, and Japanese whisky "flights".
The food was very tasty and the sake flight recommended was a great value, and actually really good!
Appears all of the menu options are sharable, and presented in a very savory manner.
Looking forward to returning on my next visit to Victoria!
This is hidden gem of Victoria. Excellent food and excellent service. They are opened until 12 and usually you would expect below average food in places working after hours, but not ENe. Everything we tried was excellent and fresh. They had fresh oysters. Highly recommended place.
I had Thanksgiving dinner at this place. I tried various highballs and cocktails, and the highballs were outstanding. The calamari we ordered as an appetizer was incomparable to anywhere else. The oysters were really fresh.
One of our top favorite meals in Victoria! Everything we tried here was amazing! My lychee sake spirit was refreshing on a warm afternoon. If I had to choose a favorite dish - its got to be the ceviche! Soo good! Highly recommend.
Variety of tapas. Liked E:ne Cerviche and Tako Wasabi. For Sashimi and oysters, it wasn't super fresh but decent. Loved Sweet & Unique sake flights.
Good service. Not too crowded. Excellent service. The waitress and host were very attentive and friendly.
I shared the Omakase with one other person which was enough. It's not really an omakase but it plated quite appealingly and I like the novelty.
There were some questionable items however. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp dumplings ha gow and the bao bun as they seemed to me very put of place. Both were very underwhelming in taste and texture.
The yuzu sauce paired perfectly with the raw oysters however. Takoyaki and squid skewer were unremarkable but tasty nonetheless.
I'd probably not recommend the omakase as items are hit and miss.
If I could give it 6 stars I would, the gochujang pasta was something I’ll never forget. We enjoyed every single dish we had and really liked the sake selection! Will definitely be back!
Had a big party eat here, we all had a great time. Sake was next level, uni also, the staff were so nice and very professional. Lots of knowledge around sake and food. Fresh, delicious culinary dining.
Having been fortunate to experience a large number of Japanese restaurants, this one ranks in the top 3. Massive selection of sake, one of the largest is Canada. Every dish we tried was amazing. Finally, the service was spot on. Highly recommend.
Cool little bar we found while looking for a place to have a late meal (11pm) and drink on a Sunday night. Pretty comprehensive sake selection which you can see they take seriously, with menus telling you about the level of polish on the rice.
We had the chef's sashimi platter which was really nice. Staff were all great too.
They have a nice range of Japanese whisky too, and they do flights :)
