My girlfriend and I are visiting and went here last night as a couple people from our city recommended it. We loved it!!!! The food was amazing- we had a bowl and an almond veggie burger. Both were so so good, I feel like the veggie burger seriously has some kind of special ingredient that a couple seconds after the bite you taste it; it's like a warm hug from the inside. The monk's bowl was also mind blowing- perfect flavours and gratuitous portions! The wine list is good as well, we ended up staying a bit longer than expected because we were having such a good time. Rebar has a great ambience, all the staff are lovely- particularly Blando. She was so sweet, attentive, made great suggestions and talked with us after about our visit and Victoria.
You guys need to get a Rebar in Vancouver, I think you'd do fantastic! :) Thank you so much and we will be back when we're in town.

My boyfriends family are long time fans of Rebar (they have the cookbook and all), so I was so excited to be in Victoria to come here and try their recommendations!! Between my boyfriend and I, we split the Almond Burger, the daily gazpacho soup and the rebar salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. We left feeling full and happy. Staff were all lovely as well. You will find us back here next time we are in Victoria! :)
Lovely and lively lunch. I was visiting Victoria and decided to give Rebar a try. Even though it was past 1:00 pm, the place was busy and bright. Colourful table covers greeted me. I had the full Rebar salad that was both filling and delicious. The lemon square for dessert was just the right balance of sweet and acidic. Staff were friendly and efficient. Enjoy!
The produce was really good but the eggs were over cooked and the had browns were burned. The vegan bowl was too oily and the sauce bland. The atmosphere was really nice.
Food was super yum and VERY filling, I had the vegan Reuben and loved it, the homemade mayo and ketchup for the potato wedges is amazing! Our server was very sweet also.
Lots of light and fresh decor. Full range of vegitarian and vegan food selection. The 'Rueben' was made with marinated tempeh and beets - deliciius. 3 Sisters enchiladas very good. Andrea came by to see how the food was. 😃
Big fan of this place. Will likely revisit everytime we are in the area. It's not often anymore we say the bill fits the meal and time we had... But this place just checks all our boxes. Vegan friendly is a huge plus for us. Love it here!
Perfect location, Nicely prepared food with sufficient portion size. I can’t believe it’s a Vegetarian restaurant but that makes them unique restaurant, which serves healthy and hygienic food.
The server was knowledgeable about recipes and quite helpful. Menu is well designed. Although less food options in menu, the quality of food is superb with balanced flavors and taste. We had ordered 1 enchilada and 1 pad Thai noodles with 1 miso soup and 1 dal soup, and it was more than sufficient for a family of 5. Everything was tasty and filling. My wife had severe headache, so, requested tea with ginger and mint and the server and chef tried their best to get it done. Nice gesture. One must pay a visit, it’s really worth it. Lunchtime visit is preferable to avoid rush and wait. Interior and tables are simple but clean, little upgrade in tables and toilet will take the restaurant to top in the area.
Friendly staff, fun casual setting, generous portion size meals with good flavour. Variety of options for the vegetarian, fish and meat eaters, raw foodies and plant based. Fresh blended juices, creative cocktails, BC local ciders & beer, and yummy baked goods. Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and anytime in between!
Lovely food. Super nice staff. Was nice to find a vegan/veg place that my wife approved and had delicious food. I could easily eat an entire plate of their potatoes.
Rebar is one of our go to restaurant when we are in Victoria! Their vegetarian and vegan meals are flavourful, healthy and hearty, and they make the best fresh juices! They built a gorgeous new patio during covid, and it feels very safe with the plexiglass separations. Our favorite meals are the Monk’s Curry (Thai green coconut curry) and the Mexican Enchiladas (the best outside of Mexico!). We absolutely love this laid back, unpretentious restaurant, and recommend it warmly! We got their cookbook years ago to enjoy making their vegetarian recipes back home.
