M was craving some Taiwanese noodle soup so I went to my trusty Van adviser and was told to check out Wang’s Beef Noodle House. It’s located right beside a VPL branch. Hours are long and consistent. We dropped in on a late Wednesday evening (around 9:00pm) and the place was about a third full. No frills but it’s clean and with lots of seating. Service is fast and efficient; I liked how they came back several times to fill up our tea cups.
Amazing and consistent every time. We are always seated promptly and the service is on point and friendly! I always get the spicy beef brisket noodle soup. The soup is concentrated, deep, rich and delicious in flavour. it tastes like its been simmering away for hours. The noodles are chewy and the perfect al dente. Not sure if they make them but they taste home made. The beef is SO soft and tastes like its been sous vide! Just so tender, fall apart and flavourful. It's always a mind blowing experience every time. The last time we went we also ordered the salt and peppery fried chicken. I've had this at many restaurants and they don't compare. Their's is hot, fresh, so juicy and the batter is light and crunchy. Also ordered the fried squid. Squid is tender and the batter is again light and crunchy. I dont know how they do it, but i certainly hope it never changes.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Wang's Taiwan Beef Noodle House 王記台灣牛肉麵 is located on Granville Street and West 68th Avenue at the Marpole area in Vancouver.
An authentic Taiwanese beef noodle house. I love their noodles after trying the Dan Dan Noodle 四川擔擔麵. You can choose to pick any kind of noodles you want, and I have tried the thick noodle. It was nice and bouncy. Delicious ! 😋
