I think that this is a really great Korean restaurant. The service is pretty mediocre, most of the workers are very shy. While the restaurant is definitely not authentic, the quality is pretty good and the portions are huge. My family and I ordered a set and it came with over ten dishes and cost around $30 per person.
Dae Bak Bon Ga is a Korean restaurant, located on Robson St. downtown Vancouver. I used to go to this place for lunch with my friends because of its special combo. The special lunch combo was so cheap with the large portion. Besides the lunch combo, seafood pancakes and tofu soup were my favorite dishes. We always ordered them. A few year ago, Dae Bak Bon Ga had a reconstruction. After that, the food prices have been going up and changing. The food portion became smaller and smaller. The taste of the food was not good as before.

April 16, 2017 · by JuliaEats · All you can eat kbbq! I’ve been here quite often in the past but haven’t visited in the couple years, I came back this time for their all you can eat! Service here is
Came across this place via an AD I saw. When we arrived around 630, place was already quite busy. They have a regular menu and an AYCE menu. We had the AYCE B menu ($30 per person). There are four types of AYCE you can choose from ranging from $26-46 a person. Overall the food was great and they give generous portions. BBQ Meats were marinated well and quite tender. Service was great. Staff checked in several times to make sure we were well taken care of. Was hoping ventilation was a little better as we came out smelling like our dinner. Will definitely be back.
Pork Belly Lunch Meal Set $13
這個韓式套餐包括Boiled Pork Belly + Soy Bean Paste Stew or/Soft Tofu Stew + Kimchi + Japchae + Rice + 4 Sides。
Beef Bulgogi Lunch Box $10
這個韓式便當配搭相當豐富抵食又好食,包括Beef Bulgogi on rice, Fried Dumplings, Japchae, Lettuce Salad, Miso Soup, 4 Sides。
Ordered the all you can eat meal A (pork only)
Pros: good food. Marinated pork was my go to. Able to choose from 12 different flavours.
Cons: lots of missed orders and mixups. A little bit greasy.
Once I walked into the restaurant, the smokey smell was very strong and the tables and chairs were kind of sticky (oily/greasy due to the BBQ place?).
The restaurant was quite busy but there were not enough waiters or waitresses. My friends and I had to look for a waiter or waitress whenever we needed something. Most of the customers were students or young adults here. The waiters and waitresses who worked here were quite young in general.
We went for lunch ordering different lunch combos. The food was great overall. The portion was big and the combos had a lot of varieties.
There are many Korean restaurants in downtown Vancouver. I may want to try them instead of going back to this one.
Even the Kimchi was Great. The $8 Lunch Special filled us both well. My wfie yielded the seaweed and kimchi to me but she doesn't know what she was missing. The portions were generous and tasty. Our server, with limited English, still conveyed a warm welcome and was helpful in every way. (Visit was made on Saturday/November 2-early afternoon).
I Love you Dae Bak Bon Ga!. I love this place. The premium meats are superb! The service is great ( even on a busy night) and the servers are very helpful ( in terms of answering allergy questions...etc).
You might be spending a little more than most BBQ Korean places but you get what you pay for.
The JapChae is the BEST in Vancouver.
Excellent!. I go here like once a month...It's got a really chill atmosphere..never too busy...really relaxed.
Service - they are all korean. They all speak pretty good english. They come by and checked up on us a bunch of time.
Food - depends on what you order..some things are average..some things are excellent. there is a cold noodle octopus dish that is freakin amazing. The pajeon seafood pancake is good.
Price- a little pricy... but not outrageous
all in all it's a pretty decent place to go pig out and down a couple pints of beer. The girls working there are pretty friendly..i think that the more ppl you go with the better..because you can order big dishes and try many different things.
