When I am in the Davie Area, I go here. I really like their Sashimi because the size is generous and fish is fresh. The other items on the menu are also great and it is not expensive. They have good Udon and sushi rolls too. It is a hole in the wall place and my favourite for Sashimi.
I had a real hankering for fast sushi while I was downtown. I must say though, the service at this location is by far the best I've had. The fraser locations service has gone down alot with the old lady at the till. I was greeted promptly and I would definitely come back for the service. The rolls are consistent. I ordered the house roll and it satisfied my craving.
This has to be one of the best Japanese dining experience I've had so far. The restaurant itself is minimal but the food and sake makes up for it big time. No bookings allowed and queues usually go out the door. Can't wait to return to this little gem.
I ordered take out a few days ago and service was very prompt and courteous. The restaurant was full, a good sign. Will definitely order or come here again!
This place is my go to for sushi in vancouver, its become a tradition with my sports team to go there and order their massive house rolls (10$ and your stuffed) and see if anyone can actually finish it! Haha definitly recommend

Best tamago!. Still prefer the Cambie location, but had it last wed. as it's a bit smaller but the same goodness and sweetness.
Loooong line ups. If u have the patience to wait it out, u'll be happy u did. the decor in this place is a lil run down but it gives it a homey feel to it. the sushi/sashimi portions are huuuge so make sure u don't over order....just order as u go. great place for a bite before taking a scenic stroll along english bay.
Best fake crab in town. "Best fake crab in town" might seem like a dubious honour to earn, but trust me - when I've been out of town and craving cheap sushi, it's the fake crab in Samurai's California roll that I dream about. What the heck is in there and why is it so delicious? I don't know, but go try it for yourself and see if you don't develop your own hankering for it. You will also become adept at the art of eating the fillings first, pulling them out with chopsticks so as to be able to stuff the rest of the roll into your mouth, and at hacking giant pieces of nigiri apart with chopsticks so as to be able to eat them at all. These may be unorthodox techniques of sushi dining, but in the case of Samurai's giant rolls, the end deliciously justifies the means.
The best sushi for your dollar in all of Vancouver (yes, that is saying a lot). I like this place so much I bought the t-shirt.
