Good taste ,perfect service and environment. Live band and dj in weekend. Also serve good looking cocktails. My favorite restaurant in Richmond Deserve to try.
Honestly I had doubts about the restaurant going in, but I left feeling satisfied from the dinner. There were some misses, especially the appetizers, but mains were surprisingly good. And desserts were excellent. Drinks were a bit too sweet for my liking.
0755 is a perfect example of how you should never judge a book by its cover… or a restaurant by its club-ish exterior, 360-mirrored bathrooms, and rando sumo and bird cage decorations. Yep, exploring a new restaurant thanks to Chopsticks Fest! BTW – 0755 is an area code in China. Our meal started off with some cold appetizers. The Sweet Olive Chin-Yam kinda puzzled me because I couldn’t really tell what it was when I first ate it. I thought it was similar to a crunchy radish. It was more of a pretty Jenga-looking dish.
This is the first Chinese restaurant I have been to with an extensive line of cocktails and they put a lot of effort into the appearance of the drinks. The menus didn’t have a description of what is in the drinks, which made them hard to order. When I inquired about one I found out it had energy drink in it, which I definitely didn’t want at 7pm so make sure you inquire as to what is actually in the drink.
0755 Restaurant & Lounge looks like a club on the outside, but surprisingly, they have really good dishes. They showcase dishes from different regions and provinces in China. They are named after an area code of Shenzhen. I was invited to try out their signature dishes on their dinner menu by the crew at Chopstick Fest.
Coconut Pudding was electrifying when it arrived at the table. It had a sparkler inserted up top and lit when it comes to you. When you pop off the top, you will see the milky pudding up top, but when you did deeper, you'll find the clear coconut water is gelatin form underneath. It tastes so good and refreshing after the heavy meal. After you eat the pudding, you can then eat the flesh off the inside of the coconut. I would highly recommend this.
Chongqing Spicy Chicken was another delicious dish. It wasn't too spicy and it added a lot of flavour to the chicken.
Pepper Steam Mandarin Fish was a surprising dish. I thought I wouldn't like it, but the fish was so juicy and well executed. It wasn't spicy at all. From the looks of it, I thought it would be, but just good flavours.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. As a restaurant and lounge, I wouldn't expect them to have a killer dinner menu. I came here once before for some nibbles and alcohol. I was impressed.
0755 Restaurant and Lounge located in Richmond’s Continental Centre is often mistaken as a drinking bar. They have been opened four years and not once had I imagined that food is served. But it is actually pretty good. It is tasty and the seafood is fresh!. I was invited by ChopStick Festival along with few fellow bloggers for menu tasting.
Our friends ordered off menu specialty items here. The kitchen can do really special items with spice. I recommend you ask the chef what he can whip up. You'd be surprised. Decor and light is very nice inside. Upper level seating is nice, you can see the whole restaurant. Lovely place.
The food is actually pretty good, authentic, and carefully prepared, don't know why it get such a low score, but our first visit turn out to be superisely good.
Good!. I love spicy foods, so the szechuan style of the foods at this place was perfect for me. However, this place is quite pricey, even though the foods came in reasonable portions.
