Absolutely top shelf food along with great service. Aye here a couple of times a week for a few months. Steak was amazing, though the seem to be a little off how you order it cooked. But the quality of the meat was excellent, tasted like fine aged steaks I have had elsewhere and I would say the best in town next to grill 41. But the prime rib sandwich was also just a superb treat for lunch several times. Nice outdoor seating and good ambiance inside.
Having visited with my daughter in Ottawa recently I had the pleasure of dining at Luxe Bistro. We were treated like royalty by our server Elizabeth. The food was incredible so a big thank you to the chef/s. We also had the pleasure of dealing with the manageress Brittany, both Elizabeth and Brittany made our visit very memorable and enjoyable. Outstanding staff and amazing food in a great location. I loved Luxe so much that as a family we are travelling from Toronto back to Ottawa and Luxe Bistro for the purpose of having my Birthday Dinner. I could not wish for a better treat than looking forward to eating there again.The reservation is already made and I just can't wait.
Came here for lunch, and ordered the 14oz boneless rib steak with Mac & cheese.
The steak was cooked perfectly rare as requested, and had a phenomenal sear. Very delicious. The mac and cheese could have used a touch more sauce, but was still quite good.
It was incredibly hot outside, and unfortunately it didn't appear that they had air conditioning. However, the staff was very attentive with refilling water, and ensuring everything was great. Service was definitely on point.
The price is on the high side, but given this is a higher end place, it was expected, and it was one of the best steaks I've had in a restaurant, so I believe it was worth it. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice meal out for a special occasion.
Lunch on the deck, couple of good Caesars, Crispy Chicken Burger and the Surf & Turf Burger - pricey, messy but sooo good. Frites are addicting, service was excellent.
Came here with my co-workers for lunch and it was a wonderful experience! The service was very friendly, although it was a bit slow even though the restaurant was still empty when we arrived. The food was delicious! I had the seared scallops with sweet potato risotto, apples and pomegranate. It was an interesting combination of flavours and the pomegranate added a nice taste that balanced the creamy risotto. Loved it! My co-workers seemed quite impressed with their stroganoff and steak tartate as well so I'll definitely be trying those next time!
I started coming here when one of my favorite places to get brunch stopped serving it. So on my quest to fine a good place for Eggs Benny... well not only did I find a good place it is lick your plate worthy every time I come. My old place brought back their brunch but I much prefer brunch here. I will make a point to try dinner. My only complaint is their coffee mugs are so small that the coffee gets cold really quick, although they are really good about coming by to top up the coffee. Wonder if they would let me bring my own mug?
It was my first time at this location. Absolutely amazing service. I ordered the roasted Bone Marrow to start. I was a little disappointed in it. It is a $16 for very little to eat. The main of roasted lamb was cooked perfectly and very delicious. I will definitely be returning here. A must try for sure.
Awesome place for burgers.
Went there for dinner but ended up again ordering burger as I was fed up of crappy burgers at fast food joints.
I recommend this place a lot.

Although tiny, the Luxe Bistro patio is the perfect ambiance for lunch on a Summer afternoon in Ottawa's Byward Market. Burgers & Frites are my usual go-to, however I recently decided to give their beef tartare a try and I was not disappointed.
spectacular experience with Tom and Olivia this evening! they were amazing from start to finish.
the drinks were wonderful (drank my Tickle Me Pink too fast to take a picture but it was delicious - Tom recommended it and it rocked!)
food was out of this world. they do steak like no one else, cooked to perfection, tender, flavourful, all around fantastic.
the tartare….. y’all…….. delish. the fries with the steak frites are so delightful, little shoestring fries with truffle oil and lots of parm🤤
we will absolutely be returning!

Delicious food, cozy and upscale atmosphere, nice mixed crowd. The cocktails were top notch! Our server was amazing and we truly had a great time. Try the oysters! So tasty.
Good steaks, good cocktail and very pleasant staff, all in a modern yet cozy room. All the side dishes were excellent. Tried all six on the menu. The peppercorn sauce was a bit thin but tasty. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the meals.
The food was absolutely delicious, presented beautifully, great portions, fast service, and our server Tom was superb. Definitely highly recommend to anyone visiting the market.
There was no soup on the menu. Really disappointing for that caliber of restaurant. The lamb shank we ordered was good overall, the meat was really nice and falling off the bone. The service was good and the caramel cheesecake was amazing!
Great steaks and beef dinners. Location is excellent. Right in the Marketplace. Desserts were to die for. I would avoid the Lobster Poutine.$$$
