I went twice and both times it was an incredible experience. Marie-Eve, our waitress, was very nice! I had the Matane shrimp with zucchini as an entrée, then the beef tartare with fries.
My boyfriend had the beef tartare as starter, then the duck as main. It was a lovely evening. Wellington is definitely one of the best restaurants in Verdun.
Our server, Marieve, was very personable and most accommodating. Fluent in both English and French, she was able to describe all dishes in minute detail. When one of my appetizers was not to my liking, she promptly removed it from the bill, and did so proactively despite my mild objection. Apart from that one dish, all courses my guest and I had were stellar. In fact, my guest ordered extra salmon to take home. For myself, I loved the pan seared scallops and fennel, as well as the aforementioned salmon. The beef tartare was also delicious, and my guest and I ended up ordering three portions for the two of us. This was my first visit, but I'm certain I'll be dining there again on the near future. It would have rated 5 stars, but for the one dish.
I was surprised to go here for my Birthday! I was surprised also that this restaurant is located here! What a gem! I have tried lots of gourmet restaurants but this one is special. The money is small but lots of options, weather you are looking for something light or bold! Their was only one waitress but she was impeccable; fully bilingual and great at talking through the menu! She convinced us to get something that looked a little funky but it was delicious! I don’t think there is anything there that is not tasty! A must for locals and even more for people from Europe!
It's been a while since I've been here, and it's high time to give it the praise it deserves. Table d'hôte includes an amuse bouche, entrée, trou normand, main course and dessert. Even though the menu is small-ish (5-6 entrées, 5-6 mains, 4-5 desserts), it's difficult to decide because everything looks great. Portions are generous, beautiful and absolutely delicious. The menu changes seasonally, with a few classics regularly back. Service is impeccable, friendly and relaxed, even when the place is packed. And it often is, so I recommend booking a day in advance. Prices are a bit higher than the elsewhere in the neighborhood, but quality and value is there. About 50-60$ per person. But it's a bring your own wine, so you save on booze. Classic decor, too.
Tastefully decorated restaurant. The moment you step in, there's no doubt that this is a classic French bistro. The menu is a slightly predictable however. Magret de canard, moules, boeuf tartare, etc. Although the menu was very well prepared and presented I wish there was one of two atypical dishes or catch of the day to wow me. All in all a safe destination for a French meal, BYOB. I look forward to seeing more in the future.
Loved it. Food was delicious and service perfect. It's a bring your own wine so it not that expensive to have the 5 and even 7 services.
Very nice place for a delicious dinner! The menu d’hôte is perfect 👌
Very professional, charming and attentive service! And the food was absolutely exquisite: astonishing, daring compositions of ingredients that really invited your tastebuds to a new world. And apart from that the dishes were prepared à point!
