I’ve been to both the main restaurant at Parc Extension and its outlet on St-Catherine. I have to say I’m more impressed with the food from the outlet. I tried their Tandoori and butter chicken at the main restaurant, I remember the Tandoori chicken is dry, over cooked and burned, nothing stands out with the butter chicken either. At its outlet, I tried a Thali with Tikka chicken, lentil paste, curry veggie, nan and rice. Everything is good, lentil paste is very creamy and comforting, nan bread was soft, chewy, well oiled. I particularly like the Tikka chicken, was very well spiced and tasty, tender inside, crispy outside. Overall very pleasant meal.
It gave us the feeling of our home. Homely cook food.We ate full stomach as the food was tasty. Good location. Affordable price and great with friends
Located in Little India on Jean Talon, Bombay Mahal will serve you excellent Indian food, plus it’s a bring your own alcohol. I am big Lamb fan. Usually I opt for a butter chicken as well if I am sharing, but I tasted Lamb madrasi, with garlic naan, onion bhajee and some yummy bastami rice! Totally recommend if you are in search for some spicy food!!
What just happened? I played safe & ordered the onion baji and the somosas.. (amazing spices & delish with the mint yogourt sauce). but my friend shook his head and simply said there is no line up outside for the apps
He was right... he ordered the butter chicken. I think i tasted a little piece of heaven. The chicken is moist. The sauce was a touch sweet a touch curry and whole lot of butter-yum that was soped up in a flavourful naan
Definitely will be back or maybe #ubereats
Ordered delivery and enjoyed authentic Indian. Loved the papri chat! Dal tadka and pulao were medium spiced and a perfect combination. Chicken tikka masala was bit sweet and aloo paratha can be medium spiced to improve taste further. Garlic nan was great though. All in all a very decent experience for Indian food.
Recommended. Very good butter chicken, spicy samosas. I recommend you try thr butter chicken. Its. Hidden gem on jarry dont be disappointed when you go inside its a small dim resto but the food will make it up for you
The selection and taste of our dinners were fantastic. Affordable, authentic and delicious. The place was packed on a Tuesday night which we took as a good sign. No regrets with our meal. Service a little slow at the start
This place serves pretty authentic Indian
food for a really good price and it is also a BYOB. The portions are good size
and the menu is quite extensive. I was not a fan of their tandouri combo, but
the lamb in yogurt was very nice, we ordered extra naan just to finish all that
sauce ;) . The place does get packed so I would suggest making a reservation.
We did not have one so had to wait for 15 minutes, but people that came later
had to wait even longer. Also try to get a seat at the room further from the
entrance, as the one closer to the entrance gets packed with waiting people,
gets cold due to the door opening constantly and overall doesn’t have a nice
ambiance. Overall good Indian
food
Despite its smaller size and less ambience. The food here is actually good. Do not take that Thali as it is. If you are a Indian looking for a place to it then make sure you specify the items to be super crazy spicy.
HOLY DELICIOUS.
Come to think of it, this is my favourite place to eat in the city! The food is consistently exceptional! Portions and prices are very fair! The lamb madras is to die for! The combos are also amazing, and plentiful! They certainly don't skimp out on their portions!
I definitely recommend it!
Second time here. Great Indian food!! Beautiful flavours, friendly service. The lamb and butter chicken were cooked perfectly, tender and bursting with flavor.
One suggestion: maybe replace the plastic straw with something more eco-friendly. Thank you.
Tried this place out after a colleague recommended it and I must say we were very pleased. My mom’s ultimate test for an Indian restaurant is the butter chicken, and Bombay Mahal had one of the best she’s tried. We got a plate of mixed vegetables, butter chicken, rice, 2 Naan breads (they are on the thin side so 1 per person is perfect) for two person it cost 35$, so a reasonable price! Our usual in Montreal is Star of India but this place is much closer to Laval and has a big dining room for the same quality. Bathrooms and dining room was very clean and service was excellent as well. Highly recommend!
I took all of my labmates for a special Diwali lunch here and the experience was magic✨🥂 We ordered soooo much!!! We made sure everyone tastes a bit of everything 🥺❤️ it was just perfect ❤️ We had 4 appetizers, 4 main course, lassi, naan and biriyani and finally ended with masala chai☕
I have been trying Indian food in Canada for 6 years now. Nothing comes close to this. Every dish is amazing. The food is freshly made, tastes wonderful - can't stop eating even when full.... Highly recommend!
Great bang for your buck. Friendly service. Chicken Tikka (see pic) is always tender and tasty. Naan bread is oven fresh. Spicey green sauce does the job. Be aware it can be very noisy. Get there early like 6 pm or reserve. Bring your own wine or beer. Client since 2014.
If authentic Indian food is what you’re searching for, then come to this place. Our waiter was so sweet and welcoming, he even gave us a dish he freshly made, on the house. Food was sooo flavourful… Would def come back!
