This place is for the ambience more than food for people of Indian subcontinent. If you love spicy food, this is not the place. But if you love Indian flavour and like the milder/sweet version of butter chicken and other main dishes then this place is for you. I love their corner triangle table. They were a lil slow with their service but I believe that is because the food was freshly cooked. Try it out if you are around Markham. 😊
Loved Loved Loved the place, the ambience and especially the food!!
If you are looking for an exotic din out, this is the place to go to. Generous portion and authentic indian food that will rock your palate. The bread, the chicken butter and spinach followed by a platter offering a variety of chicken equals to one word; mouthwatering!! Must try the mint chicken.
Must try.
Very much recommended.
Haven't been here a while. It used to be super busy here. Food wasn't bad. Didn't really like the palak paneer so much. However the butter chicken and curry goat was good. Mango lassi was good but not worth the price..close to $6. It should include alcohol with that price! Service was OK..could have come by to fill up waters more often without us asking!
There aren't many good sit down Indian restaurants but this is an exception. Personally, I like this place more than the close by The Host.
Here are a few must try:
Amritsari Goat Curry (w/ bone) - the meat was very tender, the curry was flavourful
Butter Chicken - this is a standard, good dish with a good portion of chicken
Korma (beef/chicken/lamb/shrimp) - we either got chicken or beef with this dish and the cashew nut sauce is definitely something different than your regular curry, this dish may not be very everybody because it's very creamy
We got 3 different types of naan. I have no complaints about their regular naan. Their garlic cheese naan was delicious as if you're eating a pizza. However, I was most disappointed with their garlic naan. It was partly burnt and it was still served to us. For the extra price I had to pay for the garlic naan, I expect to not have to throw out any part of the bread.
A very impressive place. Delicious north Indian food. Went on lunch ,, limited daily lunch options. Very trained a mannered staff. Will surely go back.
TK ordered the butter chicken poutine with naan where the naan was a huge piece that was the size of a head! It was impressive. The little bowl of butter chicken poutine was a little small, but turned out to be perfect for just one person because it really does fill you up.
Delicious!. Went here out of a recommendation from the desk clerk at the Hilton Garden Inn (next door). The reviews left me a little skeptical especially the one regarding the "watered down" Indian food and naan that you'd get at your local "supermarket". Fortunately, this reviewer was very wrong. I ordered their butter chicken with rice, a side of naan bread, and two samosas. All were beyond my expectations and very flavourful. The order was heat-sealed, as well, for take-out, which I've never seen before. Well done! After opening it was hot and fresh. The only negative was the dirty take-out waiting area which was unkept and the chairs were stained. I would return here without a doubt!
Never go again!. We made a reservation for 7 and received a confirmation. When we arrived they were clueless. Finally got seated and waited 10-15 minutes before anyone came to take our order.
Took 20 minutes for appetizers, then 3 of 7 received their entrees. Only after asking the waiter, did we receive the remaining entrees 30 minutes later. They forgot party of the order.
They were under staffed and what staff was there, was clueless. No-one seemed to be in charge. Food was good, portions were small.
We've eaten here before and had positive experience. It was a special event and we were embarrassed to have chosen the restaurant. Will never return.
Really some good food!. This place has been serving good food consistently, again & again. Try out butter chicken with Garlic naan.. the best in Toronto!
THE best butter chicken ever!!! I travel from Durham Region just for this dish! It is that good! Waiters are very friendly, service can be painfully slow when they're busy but so worth it. Rice is so fragrant and yummy too. Thali's at lunch are packed with goodness; definitely a must try. You will keep going back for more!
