Top notch venue with one of the best patios. Great menu, staff and vibe. The weekly EMG open mic is superb with a magical hot summer night patio vibe. One of my new favourite places to bring friends and hang out.
Was always my favourite patio in the GTA! Food was good and the vibe on the patio is always chill. Great place to kill a few hours or spend some time with some friends and family! Jakes still has it (been coming here since the late 90's) had not been in ten years!
We are visiting from India...since today was a lovely day, my brother and sister in law insisted we come here to enjoy the meal sitting at the patio....trust me it was worth it...the food was awesome and so was the service...lived the ambience....this place is a must visit whenever I come to Canada next....and I shall surely ask whoever is coming to Toronto to surely visit Jake's on the Main
It was our first time in the area. We saw a packed patio and a fair priced menue which was posted outside. Sat outside. The staff were polite, always with smile and always around to check if you need anything. Food was great. Draft beer was great. Prices based on quality & portion were fair.
I would definitely go back.

On a hot Saturday afternoon a few friends and I decided to stroll through Unionville and grab lunch. We saw that the patio here was packed and decided to join the fun. The hostess attempted to sit us down in a higher level patio area where no one was around, I kindly asked if we could sit on the other side where the rest of the customers were because why would we want to sit alone? Odd. I saw another hostess give ours a "ha-ha" face as she weaved us through people to offer another table, great. We ordered beer, sangria and a bunch of appetizers to share. The sangria was really good, fresh and delicious in a giant glass. The mozzarella sticks were good, but the dip that came with them was all wrong. The loaded potato skins were pretty good and the topped poutine was delicious. The calamari was pretty bad, it tasted like it was frozen and then overcooked, bad texture and flavour.
Overall, I wouldn't bother coming back here with other options nearby.
Randomly happened upon this restaurant while visiting a nearby park. There was lots of outdoor seating so we decided to try it out. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger poutine which is a meal size portion. Awesome! I would definitely go back to get it again!
Location!. Great location on Main Street in Unionville. Superb patio. But food is just ok. Not bad, but nothing special. Pub fare. Would expect better for this kind of place. Was expecting better. Friendly staff.

Delicious - and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves fish tacos! It's almost like fish and chips inside a taco! The chipotle mayo compliments the taco wonderfully. Definitely would recommend! However, next time I would order a side of salad opposed to fries as the tacos are quite large and filling - a salad would help lighten the meal.
Food and drinks were excellent, portions were large, and service was great, with our server coming by to check on us several times.
I had the Tuna Mango Bowl, and while most places might have added more rice than other ingredients to save on costs, this bowl had a fair amount of everything, and enough on top of that to take home to-go. They had only one dessert option (Carrot Cheesecake) which was also great.
The cocktails were great too. I got the Tornado which was very sweet and tasted like oranges.
We went on a Saturday at 7pm, and it was surprisingly not very full. I imagine it gets busier in the summer months when the patio is open.
Food is average at best. But the atmosphere of the patio is great!
Beer is not cold enough.
Service is a bit slow but may be they are short staff that night.
I was a little bit nervous when my friend suggested this place because other reviews didn’t favour the food … ha I said that, I ordered the fish tacos (had a great flavour by definitely too much batter) + the fries felt like a frozen kind (fresh cut is so much more pub like)
However .. my friend had the Reuben and loved it!
Service was great and we didn’t feel rushed at all (chatting a lot of business, so we did stay a while). I can see why people recommend the patio — great size almost wish it would have been warm enough to sit out there!
I’d visit again for sure based on the service + cleanliness for sure.

Located on the beautiful main street of historic Unionville is Jake's On Main restaurant . Jake's has a large outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy a great meal, drink and look at the beautiful flower decorated City of Unionville. Jake's has a great selection of food at reasonable prices considering where it is located. I had the raw tuna salad and it was fresh tasting and filling. Their micro brewery brand draft was also refreshing, especially while enjoying the hot summer day. Jake's is a good spot to go and it does get busy so plan to get there early.
Update, had another craving for their Mango Tuna bowl so I came back. It tastes so good, it is filling and not a heavy meal with lots of heathy stuff inside.
