Folks behind the counter are beautiful souls. Pizza and service is fantastic. They use a proper clay brick oven.
Good things come to those who wait, and waiting for fresh pizza was rewarded very well. Stop to chat with your neighbours, live in the city you reside and take some fun risks. You may find a new favourite pizza place.
I have been getting Donairs and Pizza here since 1989. Long story short I had their Classic medium pizza... two weeks ago and my gosh it's was wow. (No I don't work, own this establishment ) Not thick and not thin crust ..just balanced. The meats were of great quality. The sauce was.. let me just skip to end.
The cheese on it was the old mozzarella and a most try.

I once belonged to the general group of Haligonians that has walked past this place dozens of times without thinking twice. I'm not part of that group anymore, and you shouldn't be either. Just the best pair of folks behind the counter; honest, charming, and know how to make a damn good pizza. Bonus: gluten-free crust available.
Lots of new places in town, but sometimes you need the old standby. Great pizza and quick service.

Peter's pizza is our favourite pizza place nearby. The owner is odd, but friendly and charming. He's almost always in the restaurant.
He seems to make his crust from scratch, and sometimes the texture varies (thinner and crispy or lighter and fluffy) but is always good. The Greek salad is very delicious and a must. The downside is that they're still using styrofoam containers, but I assume it's left over stock.
The website does always list the same amount of time for pickup, so sometimes you get there and your order is done and has been sitting and other times you get there and have to wait another 10-15 minutes.
Great food and a great customer service! We order a pizza and it was amazing. Will be going back again!
In my lifetime I’ve been searching for a pizza place that compares to peters - I’ve lived in nb, Edmonton, Ottawa and been many other places but peters is literally the best pizza place I’ve ever tried - can’t wait to be back in Halifax to try it again. Slightly unique crust, great fresh toppings and ratios are bang on.
