Went here for the Trivia Night. It gets really, really loud in the evening so keep that in mind. It’s more of a spot to have drinks and relax, chat with friends. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere for trivia night. I had the Lion’s Head Burger which I liked. My other friends had the flat bread and wings respectively, which they also enjoyed. I will say the portion size of things is not massive when compared to the price. I tried a frozen margarita with a friend but she mentioned it is not as frozen as it is supposed to be so guess that was a bit less than ideal. I would say the food is passable and it’s a nice spot to have few drinks and relax. Nothing exceptional but good enough with regards to most things.

The new building is very nice, lots of room, it can get quite loud in there but the atmosphere is amazing. My first time visiting I had a server who was not very friendly they rolled their eyes when I ordered a cider and they were all out. Second time visiting had a very lovely energetic server. Food was really good, I had the veggie burger and mashed potatoes. My companion had the steak but had complained about everything being luke warm/ cold, but couldn’t care because he was hungry. Food was out relatively fast, service was good.

Our first visit in Halifax! Our accomodation host recommended Lion's Head. Very spacious, good for small and large groups.

I came here with a group for lunch on the patio. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu specified which options were vegan and gluten free. Some menu options were both.

It's been a while since I went to this restaurant. But I can't forget the taste of this restaurant's “seafood chowder”.😭 It's really more delicious than other restaurants' seafood chowder. Everyone has a different taste, but for me, this is the delicious seafood chowder that I have tried in Halifax. You should go and taste it.😀

Had a great visit today! Staff still amazing food and service was awesome. I haven't been there in many years since I've moved away. it's so great to see the wonderful makeover they have made on the place.

Must Try. I had the big breakfast and wife had the bacon Benny but swapped to the English hashbrowns. Overall portion sizes were massive for the $. Quite pleased about that. The scrambled eggs were the true way to cook (chef style) them and were absolutely on point. Hashbrowns while they were good were pretty greasy which may mean the oil needs changing. Sausage was better quality and tasty. The deep fried tomato was just ok (not my thing) and the beans were great. Wife enjoyed her Benny. Bigger portions. Standard house coffee was perfect. Interior/building redesign was a welcome change. Fully accessible albeit the parking at the time was not paved. Parking is a plus. Service is great but the servers may have been spread too thin while we were there as the visits were far and few. I would definitely come back.

I attended an NSP Retirees function there. As soon as I got in someone greeted me and showed me where to go. Staff was very friendly and took my order right away. I used to go here after old fellas hockey game 25 years ago. The place has gotten a beautiful face lift. I'd go back

Great staff that are engaging and helpful. Knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Chowder was the highlight of the fare, but a good steak and filling appetizers. The atmosphere is endearing and great for catching up and conversation.

We had not been in years, the new construction is lovely. With a roof top patio, and a second floor. Big screen TV's and darts room. We went for their Tuesday wing 🍗 night. They have a nice menu as well. Lots of options for wings, like salt and pepper our favorite! We did order a basket of the medium wings, they were a bit cold and tasted more like ketchup,so if you're looking for that vinegar Frank's style of wing you won't get it here unfortunately. The food and drinks all round were great otherwise, service was excellent. They have nice large booths and tables. Or you can sit at the bar. One member had the beer batter fish and chips, it's a big serving and they were pleased with their meal. Lots of free parking in a gravel lot behind. We would go back for wing night again. .
