Harvest Rd. Is a true example of farm to table as it is literally situated on Michells farm where they get most of their fresh ingredients from. The amazingly flavourful beef and the vegetables are from the surrounding five hundred acres that is Michells farm. Even the food wraps, trays and utensils are composted on site and reintroduced into the fields of the farm via their huge composting operation just down the road.
The burgers we had were one of the best I’ve eaten, and believe me, I’ve eaten a lot of burgers. The fries were thick and hand pulled; Deep fried to perfection. The coleslaw was fresh and refreshing. Chatting with the owners, Jenni and Brendan was fantastic, hearing their story and seeing their pride in what they do really made the whole meal an experience.
If you care about where your food comes from, care about sustainability and love great food, visit Harvest Rd Grill.
Love this place! Jenni and Brendan are the best, and the food is to die for!
Lovely spot to start or rather end a ride or a run.
Compostable packaging. Home made Kombucha was relish as was apple juice. Goid quality food served quickly and cleanly. Keep up the great work. Only point for improvement would be a privacy screen area to hide portatoilets. But that's a personal peeve about views from restaurants. 😁
Lunch for two with coffee/tea for under $32 is hard to find these days. Had the harvest burger and veggie baguette, both were excellent and truly farm to table. Friendly chatty service. For other veggie minded folks, they can do some substitutes such as no bacon but add an egg on the breakfast sandwich or cut a veggie brat in half for a "burger". Only one size of coffee, but it's brewed well from local fair trade beans.
Saw this place on Restaurant near me..and thought the concept was great, it was a nice day. So we visited..mum had the Buyer and she liked it..I had the Veggi Baggett with shredded carrots, beets, hummus ect it was great..we didn't try their fresh cut fries, but will one day..the people are friendly and there's lots of places to seat and eat..ill be back.
This is a good stop on a Sunday lunch!
Grab a delicious hotdog or burger with local produces! The best advice is to add eggs to your order because nothing is better then fresh farm eggs 😁
We loved it and the service was great as well!
By the way the Apple juice is worth the try it taste like heaven
Food was very fresh and hearty and flavourful and we could sit outside at a picnic table overlooking the farmer’s field. We had the breakfast burger, hand cut fries and raspberry lemonade kombucha. Fantastic. Highly recommend.
The smoked veggie sausage with the sauerkraut was AMAZING. Being a visitor from Vancouver who has tried A LOT of wonderful food, I was really impressed. The staff is always so friendly and it was so nice for the cashier to give a dog some meat as a free treat.
I'm not usually into kamboucha but I really enjoyed it here.
Have you ever had a more perfect French fry?! Everything is so delicious and fresh. Amazing place to visit with great atmosphere.
Sandwich and burger was SO good. One of the best we’ve had in years. Fries left a little to be desired but the mains were the real star anyways. 10/10 and cool to see it all as farm to table.
We stopped here after a 15 km ride. Whew, we were beat. With another 15 to return home, it was a mistake to have their very tasty hotdog and cyder (but they were very good!!)
Their location is right beside the Galloping Goose walking/cycling trail, so that was very convenient.
They have plenty of picnic tables and this appears to be a favourite location for many visitors in cars as well as cyclists.
I'd definitely return again.
I enjoyed the fesh and tasty food, and the outdoor air. It's a great lunch spot on warm days. Birds and bunnies kept us company and didn't bither us at all. The french fries were the freshest and best in Victoria.
