New owners😃😃😃as of Dec/19/2016 and what an amazing💕change,you can now actually have a conversation with the staff🤗 without feeling that you've interrupted something important. The menu has been improved immensely with kickass🔥specialty rolls such as Tuna Tataki,Spicy Tuna,Rainbow,Canada Place. My😳tastebuds has been brought up to the next level i highly recommended this place👍🏻
The👎🏻side to this place is the seating area is extremely😖cramped and now with the warmer weather we're having i've notice there's an abundance of flies😧in the place(gross n disgusting)they've also hired a staff who has the annoying "used car salesmen" attitude which i found very🖕🏻rude and inappropriate

Next, I had the Appetizer Sashimi, which came with two pieces of salmon, one piece of tai, and two pieces of tuna. The Salmon Sashimi tasted very fresh and had a mouthwatering creamy, buttery flavour. As a bonus, it was also cut to exactly the right thickness. The Tai Sashimi did not have a smooth texture and was weak in flavour. The Tuna Sashimi, on the other hand, was well-balanced in terms of flavour and did not exhibit any fishiness.
I didn't have high expectations because I just wanted to grab a quick bite of food. However, this place pleasantly surprised me. I got the scallop tataki roll, it was a california roll with raw scallops on top and a nice sauce with some torching. They made it on the spot, and it made me wish I wasn't in a rush so I could enjoy the food.
Kita Sushi Two restaurants, one name, both separated by a single city block. What’s the point you ask? “Teriyaki boy”, the sushi restaurant that existed before this, just didn’t work out. So why reinvent the wheel? Do what works. And they did just that. Taking the success of their first “Kita” and doubling it. The original location is naturally much older and a hair smaller than their second, newer location. Though both are very similar in set up. Here they have empty showcases meant for pre made sushi that go unfilled, shelves against the walls stocked full of plastic and styrofoam containers, a self serve fridge of drinks at a cost, hot tea in a large thermos for free, and an assortment of knick knacks reminding you of their Japanese heritage. I came to Kita wanting to try them out without too many expectations. From what I tried and tasted, I am quite sure this trip won’t be my last. My suggestion is to order more of their specialty rolls as opposed to the traditional items.
