They have the best deep fried calamari - it is so light and never greasy, shoulder of lamb is heavenly and I always get spanakopita when I’m there. You gotta go - it’s the best!!
Was looking for something Greeky, as my cravings were getting the best of me. Decided to go here, they were advertising that they were the best Greek Restaurant in Burnaby, according to Burnaby Now paper. Another deciding factor to try this place out, was because we had an entertainment coupon. I thought that this restaurant was not outstanding, but I definitely understand why this was voted one of the best. We started off with a calamari and I thought it was a little bland with LOTS of onions, but the tzatziki was bland, so overall, this was a bland dish. I had the beef souvlaki and I thought it was good, as the rice was quite tasty. The tzatziki sauce was a tad bland, but it went very well with my souvlaki. It was good value with the entertainment coupon, but for a greek restaurant, I thought the prices were quite reasonable.
So very close to a 5 star rating if not for the lack of air conditioning during hot summer days. The staff at Sfinaki are great and the food choices are excellent. Most definitely the very best Greek restaurant in Burnaby ... you will not be disappointed!
Ok FOR REAL. This is the best Greek food I have ever eaten in my life. I swear I'm not exaggerating. The potatoes, pita and souvlaki was cooked to sheer perfection. The Greek coffee was amazing and the service was authentic and attentive. I can't wait to go back!
Always deelish!. I've been coming to Sfinaki for more than 10 years and their Greek food is the best in the lower mainlaind! It's no surprise they've been voted 'Best Greek in Burnaby' 2 years in a row now. Among my fave dishes are: keftedes, spanakopita, dolmathes, roast lamb, paidakia, kalamari and gyro! So, so, so deelish!!!
Best Greek food I've ever had in Canada, and amazing friendly staff! I could eat their Tzatziki ALL DAY. Love you guys!
Consistantly good. I'm here a few times and year and I am consistently happy with both the food and the service. I usually get the spanakopita, and boyfriend gets calamari which he says is great.
I've eaten here several times in the past year and overall found the food to be delicious especially for the area. My favorite dishes to order are the lamb and grill kalamari - not many places can make either dishes well. A girlfriend of mine had told me about this place and since then I've taken several other friends here who have all enjoyed their meals.
Yummy! My family looks forward to our weekly take out Greek dinner from here! The chicken souvlaki is awesome, the bread delicious, the potatoes super yummy, and their Greek salad is fresh and big! I was a little disappointed with their moussaka though- it was tasty but really bland ( and needed some salt! ). The hostesses are always nice, and the quality and freshness of the food here has been consistently great! The baklava is awesome too!! You might have a bit of a wait for take-out, but it's worth it... And you get 10% off if you pick it up!
Lemon and Rosemary. Food quantity is not an issue with this Greek restaurant. You will go home full and the food is fantastic!
