Always love going back here, they’ve got great sushi, always fresh and really really good prices too. Their staff is friendly too, so that adds to the place’s warmth!
Food is pretty consistent - we have been coming here for years. It's a good local joint that we enjoy coming to for take out. If you are eating in, I recommend you go earlier, especially if you have a larger party.
Portions were great and the pricing for the food was amazing (compared to back home anyways!) Service was friendly and prompt for the most part. Was only 4.5 because I felt the wait staff could have checked on our tea refills a bit more often (our tea was empty for 15 minutes with only two other tables occupied at the time). Would totally come here again though!
Forget to take pics! But food was great! Tried their couple of special rolls! Delicious! Sashimi was fresh, and the portion was good too! I'm not actually a sushi roll fan, but I love sashimi. This is why I keep going Sushi Garden because they have very good size of sashimi with fair price. Here Sushi Town, same size of portion in same price. Compared to Sushi garden, they have better service! From now on, I probably will skip Sushi Garden and come to this place!
Sushi Town has been around for as long as I can remember. As a Burnaby girl growing up, this restaurant was a staple for my friends and I. I feel that Sushi Town, Sushi California and Sushi Garden are all comparable in what they serve. However, from my perspective Sushi Town has hands down the best Spicy Tuna Don.
I have been to this Sushi Town location on several occasions and I really enjoy the sushi here. Almost every time, we get the Salmon Sashimi along with the Philadelphia Roll (my boyfriend's favourite). Depending on how we feel, also the Prawn Tempura. The food is really good. I also like their Alaska Roll. We recently tried the Fantastic Roll and it was delicious!
Also worth mentioning, the Chicken Yaki Udon is good too (fairly large portions too)! Worth a stop if you're in the area and craving sushi!
Food is great very good quality sushi but falls short on service occasionally. They have a small beer list and sake but no wine. Their food cries out for wine . They should consider letting people bring in wine for a corkage. It is perfectly legal in BC besides with a corkage they make a net gain without having to tie up their capital in wine.
THEY SHOULD RENOVATE FOR SURE. Prices and foods are just perfect but compared to North Vancouver and Coquitlam they are small and I didn't like their atmosphere. Hope they renovate soon.
We went to Sushi Town on Hastings and Kensington for family dinner during a weekday. We order a lot of food but I was not able to eat fish that day so I ordered my veg. Udon and avocado roll and deep fried tofu without fish flakes. My veggie Udon was ok because it doesn't have much veggie but lots of udon. Deep fried tofu was good but I don't know somehow they put the tofu in the sauce so when I finished my Udon, the tofu was so salty. However, I love my avocado roll because it has a good amount of avocado. And the best thing is it is $3 or $3.50. Overall, the whole dinner for 7 people cost us about $70s and everyone was full. Service was efficient!! At 6:30pm the resto was almost full. My sister-in-law said this place does not take reservation on weekend. You have to reserve more than 2h prior to your desired arrival. Good value, efficient service. I can't say good quality because I hubby felt bloated after consuming some food during the visit. This might be due to cross contamination with raw fish. My hubby can't consume raw fish because it will give him stomach problem. But for my part, I felt ok. My tummy was happy with all the food.
Visit every time I'm in town. Best value for sushi in town! I don't live in the province anymore but I make a point of visiting every time I'm in town. The salmon sashimi is amazing and thick. Love the alaska roll, mangodise roll, bc roll. The service is admittedly bad, but the food is so good that I don't even care.
Great and consistent sushi in Burnaby. We always get take out from here and today we dined in.
Staff are friendly and the restaurant had plenty of seating for the 8 of us in our group.
We’ve had both dine in and ordered take out. Would say the sushi is decent and they have a pretty good selection for rolls. Not as fresh as expected for being in Vancouver, but still good.
Take out isn’t the best but it’s expected with it sitting for a bit during transportation.
Really fresh and amazing food. Very friendly staff and clean washrooms which is a sign of good management. I think they should serve their Miso soup a bit warmer. Other than that its a great restaurant.
Been coming here for awhile now. This place serves solid and fresh sushi.
Their menu and food provided is very much like Sushi Garden's. The service I get here is pretty good and they refilled my tea after asking. Food came quick and served with a smile. Server also checked up on us while we were eating.
I usually order the salmon sashimi which is cut very nicely with good sized portions. The taste is very fresh, light and chewy. The Awesome Roll is one of my favorite special rolls to get. It is a California roll with bonito flakes, seared salmon and drizzled with spicy mayo; the flavors really combine well with each other. The Alaska roll is yummy as well but does look a bit gross. The chopped scallop is a bit of a disappointment as isn't much flavor to the roll and the scallops are diced to tiny morsels.
Other rolls I suggest is Bill's roll.

Impromptu farewell lunch for a friend. Place was pretty empty when we went ~ 5.30pm on a Saturday.
Service:
Adequate. Servers will take your order and serve you the food. If you want water or any drinks, you have to get their attention. They don't take initiative to check on you though there were three-four wait staff.
Food:
Delicious food. Rolls were slightly small as compared to places like Sushi Cali/Ginza and other Korean run sushi places. Ingredients were fresh which was good. Rice was packed well. (Refer to pictures) Was slightly disappointed as the rolls were not as filling as expected.
Price:
I had to order two sets. Approx $22 to be satiated.
Would I come again?
Probably. With more friends. But probably wouldn't tip as much. Barely any service, manage your expectations before going.
