My girlfriend and I were searching around for a good happy hour last Monday night after a long day at the office. Nearly giving up, we found cactus to have a Monday night happy hour (turns out they have one every night of the week, and is now the easiest choice of happy hours for us.. and we go A LOT)
We thought our night would be just sad and the week would continue to be overbearing at the office.
within the first hour of being at Cactus Club, our mood immediately flipped 180 degrees! Our bartender was so attentive to us, kept on top of all our demands, and we never once had to ask for additional drinks or napkins.. He was quick to understand his clients while still tending to all the other guests in the area. We were sooo impressed that this fellow young man was busy at the bar, stepping out to serve other customers, and still managed to make us girls laugh! (I have to mention, he was also so friendly to his staff and overall, a great asset to Cactus Club, I hope this gentleman gets promoted and that his employers value him as much as us!!
We walked in on a Monday night thinking "its only Monday and this week is going to be hell" and walked out thinking "its only Monday, and I already feel as good as I do on a Friday afternoon!"
This young man's name is Mitch P. and when he asked us to leave a review, we didn't even have to think twice! 10/10 would come again, and 10/10 would recommend!!
Always great service and the food is consistently great. This location I find the staff are attentive and friendly. My favourite meal is the butternut squash ravioli.
Great food, attentive staff and warm surroundings. We came here for lunch and my wife just fell in love. The server was great, genuinely interested in what we were up to. We chatted for what seemed a while and she was very efficient at her job at the same time. Food was great, I had the crispy chicken sandwich and my wife had the teriyaki rice bowl. We will be back.
My go to dishes are the teriyaki chicken rice bowl, lettuce wraps, calamari and flatbread. But this day I decided to try something new: shirt ribs. It was so good! I've been ordering the wrong thing at cactus club this whole time!!! The short rib was tender, the sauce was delicious and the hot sauce went well with it. And the potatoes are amazing as always.
Consistently solid cactus club venue. I had the spaghettini with meatballs, one of my favourite dishes. Good service, the restaurant is large and airy, with a large patio for the summer.

Try the Celeriac Soup. If you haven't tried it yet, the Celeriac Soup is truly amazing! I didn't know what a 'celeriac' was but it turns out to be aged white cheddar with black pepper croutons and extra virgin olive oil. Save the grissini bread stick so that you wipe up the bowl to savour every drop.
I usually order the Millionaire’s Cut – a seven ounce filet mignon with sautéed creole jumbo prawns. It's always served the perfectly - in my case medium rare. Coupled with one of the red cabs on a reasonable wine list, I haven't had a bad meal and beverage at the Byne Road Cactus Club yet.
Plus I understand they have a young new chef who's making sure the meals arrive fast, fresh and foodie-worthy.
I give this location two forks up!
Definitely a wonderful place to go. Went there last Friday night, crazily busy and therefore took quite a while for the meals to come, yet worthwhile for the wait...
We were a group of three, order 2 of their "four mushroom sirloin – 7oz certified angus beef® sirloin, shiitake, portabello, button and crimini mushroom demi-glace" and 1 "the burger – certified angus beef®, sautéed button mushrooms, aged cheddar, alder smoked bacon, red pepper relish"
So yummy!!
The atmosphere was great but a bit noisy (because they're so busy).

Great vibe. Eat dessert. The nicest meal here, coupled with the friendly, capable, attentive staff.
Starter was the Caesar Salad: crisp leaves, great greated parma cheese, crisp croutons appropraielty sized.
Main was the Salmon fillet, served with daikon, on a barley bed with dijon mustard jus. Perfectly cooked, very tasty.
Dessert, was unavaiodble. Chocolate slab with carel shmear and pearl balls. Worth every calorie. Seriously decadent.
Funky vibe. Great music. Perfect postion. Happy clients. Clean.

Pricey but Good. This Cactus Club service and atmosphere are uniformly warm, welcoming and ... appetizing. I find that once I've been welcomed and seated, and my server has introduced him/herself, I suddenly have an inclination to get an appy and a drink when all I came for was an entree and a coke.If anything is ever wrong with your order, or even if there is a slight delay in service, you will receive a nice apology and often a free appy or desert for your "trouble." We really feel appreciated here. My hubby's favorite dishes are The Burger w/bacon and cheddar, Raincoast Greens and most of all the Jack Daniels Ribs. My favorites being honest is the calamari and the cheesecake.
