I've been coming here since I was a teenager! It's our top choice in Winnipeg for ice cream. My personal favourite are the parfaits! Reasonable prices, located in a cozy neighbourhood. The new owner is doing a fantastic job!

Sub Zero is a Winnipeg gem. Best flurries and parfaits in the city. My favourite has always been, and still is, The Larsen. Avoid the crowds at BDI and come to Sub Zero!
This is the place for ice cream! Tons of flavours of the carious desserts - many of which seem unique to them. Funky little place with awesome service.
This place is great! Warm, inviting staff serving with a smile, great environment, delicious ice cream, and incredible portion sizes! Sure, the venue itself is a bit cramped but it is a great place for an awesome treat. So glad we opted for one parfait between two people, they're huge!
A new favourite for sure and well worth the drive (or bike ride)!

My Ice Cream Fix. It's my first summer in the neighborhood, I came here for the first time yesterday - and loved it! We had split a banana split between us and my fiancee went back for second and third helpings (mint oreo flurry and a blue raspberry slush) since the ice cream was THAT GOOD. Definitely a place to visit and worth going back to! --------- That was my 2013 review. After living in the area for a little more than 3 years, it's definitely still my ice cream fix in this neighborhood. Friendly staff, dog friendly as well, their parfaits are delicious! I had the carnival parfait a month ago, and boy... It was as sweet as a carnival that's for sure! So I heard about the pride parfait weeks ago and verdict of the pride parfait? REALLY DELICIOUS!
So much vibrant in person than the photos you see of it online and on the facebook page! I love trying new things each time I drag someone along with me when I crave ice cream. I kept scraping around the sides of the pride parfait's cup when I was sharing it with someone... The hubby kept looking at me funny knowing I should of got my own to myself since it's yummy! I never had this combination of texture and flavors in my life. Soooo gooooood!
Excellent ice cream at a decent price. Parfaits are to die for. There's also a nice little outdoor area around the sidewalk, with picnic tables and umbrellas. Very good.
Fantastic Ice Cream. I've been a customer going on five years now. Others have told me that it isn't as good as it was many years ago. I can't comment on that, but I think that it is an excellent place to go as is.
The specialty is the soft serve ice cream parfait. They have a dizzying array of various sauces and toppings that get layered in a plastic parfait dish. The toppings include various types of candy, nuts and cereals. You can pick one of their concoctions or make up one of your own. They also have hard ice cream and the usual ice cream treats (ex. banana split, sundae).
Service is friendly and the line is kept moving at a brisk pace.
The place is also pet friendly. For a dollar you can get a treat for your dog that consists of a dollop of ice cream with a few dog biscuits stuck into it.
Too great. When it comes to ice cream, there is nothing better anywhere in the city than Sub Zero Ice Cream. All the rest are just trying to catch up!!
