The Pho was good, maybe a little on the sweet side. These days Pho is expensive everywhere but I had to order extra noodles when at other places the Regular size is more than enough to fill my tummy. Despite this, I do find it to be inoffensive and probably the best in town... (But the bar is a bit low.)
Service was slow but they seemed quite short of staff which is understandable. I was pretty disappointed with the Banh Mi. I've heard good things about it but the bread was dense and not the usual fluffy crispy texture you'd find at other places. It felt like the densest chewiest french baguette they found across the street at fairways. Too may pickles to hide that the meat portion is little. You're better off getting Banh Mi elsewhere.
I love this restaurant. I brought my family who were visiting from Vietnam here and they were satisfied! The owner moved here from Vietnam 5 years ago.
The food is consistently delicious, tastes like a home made meal. I’ve had vermicelli, pho, rice dishes, banh mi and other appetizers here and it has all been so yummy!
Service is spectacular, Tony is a hustla and they are all very friendly.
The best Pho and Banh mi, ordered BBQ pork and Grill pork and both of them outstanding with fresh ingredients.
As well ordered 404 Pho and it’s my new favourite dish, it’s so tasty.
We love the food. Big portions. Service is great, we were seated right away. And the staff is friendly. We left satisfied.
Visited Alysa's pho spot based on friends' recommendations, and it exceeded expectations. Opted for dishes 207, 401, 404, & 606.
The moment the server brought out the pho, the aroma was enticing. The broth was unparalleled; I've never experienced such richness elsewhere.
Despite frequenting various pho places, this one stands out. The fried pork spring rolls were a delightful addition—flavourful with generous portions.
Highly recommend to anyone passing by. The staff is friendly, allowing a relaxed dining experience. If I could, I'd give this place a perfect 10-star rating.
Stopped in for a quick bite around dinner time and the place was fairly busy, however, we were lucky to get a table right away. We ordered the Alyssa's Classic Bánh Mì (#101) and large Phở Đặc Biệt (#401); both items were delicious and we left satisfied, but not too full. The restaurant appears to be family-owned and operated, so the staff did their best to tend to customers as quickly as they could and still in a friendly manner.
Visited this place after reading the good reviews on Google.
Small, quant restaurant run by, I presume, a Vietnamese family. Numerous Vietnamese patrons were there eating lunch which gave us hope for a decent Pho and Banh Mi.
We were not disappointed at all. Service was very friendly and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the BBQ pork Banh Mi and two bowls of Meatball, Brisket and rare beef Pho.
Broth outstanding. Meat tender. Veggies fresh. So good.
Just moved to Victoria and I already found my favourite spot. I came in yesterday afternoon with a bad hangover and boy did it do the trick. I got the 409 pho with brisket and beef balls, as well as some lemongrass beef salad rolls. The salad rolls were delicious as I had anticipated, but wow, the pho was the star of the show. Many places I've been to tend to have over cooked noodles, but these ones were perfect, paired with a rich and flavourful broth. Delicious. Expect to see me often!
Edit: It's been about a year since I first tried Alyssa's, and I never go anywhere else anymore. The pho is spectacular and the atmosphere is great, but the staff is what makes it my favourite place in town. Tony works so hard to make everyone feel welcome, he goes above and beyond for his customers. If I could give 10/5 stars just for Tony alone, I would. Thank you to everyone at Alyssa's, y'all are the best!! <3
This Vietnamese restaurant offers the same basic menu options as most Vietnamese restaurants. We had ordered our usual, which was the Hot and sour Chicken soup noodles.
Service was fairly quick at lunch time. Prices was good compared to the quantity. We ordered a large and it was enough for two.
It is at a busy spot but parking is not difficult to find.
My son took me there! He loves Alyssa's wrap! Spring rolls excellent too!
