Great coffee! Great location. I'll be back for sure.
Sequoia Coffee

This Coffee place is similar to Starbuck Restaurant. I had camel mariato coffee and some banana bread. I also ordered a slice of coffee cake 🍰🎂 and cranberry pastry to take back to my Hotel room for later. Oh!! It was delicious 😋🤤!!!
This restaurant is part of the Royal museum.
Great coffee, but a bit overpriced. It can get very busy on weekdays, but there is a lot of seating as part of the museum. Some very comfortable sofas and tables. The staff is very friendly and they also have a reward system with a punch card. The baked items and salads are also good.
Awesome coffee from local roaster, had the oat milk latte and Tofu protein bowl, both tasted amazing. The space is somewhat busy with school children. There was a small dinosaur pocket gallery, Totem Poles, and John Lennon's Rolls Royce in the main lobby - Lots to see.
Came to the museum for a business meeting and stopped at this café, Long line-up first thing in the morning, but staff were fast and efficient managing the volume. Ordered the Too Hot To Handle with Cheddar Scone...both were very flavourful. Too hot is quite spicy, perfect on a chilly morning.
While this coffee shop obviously caters to museum-goers, the regulars are primarily government employees from the surrounding offices (who get a discount!). The coffee is pretty good, the prices are a bit high, but the service is excellent. They are fast, efficient and you never have to wait long for your gourmet coffee to be ready. The tasty treats are tasty - I love the power spheres! It's a great place to unwind briefly before heading back to the office.
I never expect much from coffee shop food, but I was starving and decided to grab a quick bite and take a break from the museum. The falafel wrap was really, really good! Restaurant quality! And so was the chicken Caesar salad. Good coffee as well.
Great coffee and treats and the prices do reflect this. It's in the Victoria museum complex and pretty handy to downtown. There is seating inside, of course, and nice outdoor seating to for spring and summer. Overall a nice place to go for a coffee/ya and treat.
Great little coffee oasis, located in the east end of the Royal BC Museum building. Their coffee is outstanding, and their Americano - which currently costs only $2 _if_ you use a Sequoia mug or bring your own - is the best value in the city. Staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. They also offer a small selection of pastries and sandwiches, priced a little higher than average, but always tasty. If you're a regular (or expect to be), get a loyalty coffee card so you can score the occasional free drink. Clientele are a mix of local office workers and museum/IMAX visitors. Sequoia's seating is somewhat utilitarian, as befits a walk-in coffee area in an open space, but more comfy museum-lobby seating is close by. The place is family-friendly and thoroughly accessible, and washrooms (including accessible/baby-changing facilities) are available a short distance away in the museum space.
despite running the place alone, Meg provided quick and excellent service! the espresso quality is the best I've had and the food is amazing. thank you!
Sequoia has a nice, small curation of salads, sandwiches and sweet treats. The vegetable egg sandwich on English muffins is very good. The beet and goat cheese salad with yummy dressing is especially good considering I don't like beets. But it's the cornflake, marshmallow fluff, chocolate chip cookie that you need to eat. It. Is. The. Perfect. Cookie. It's salty, sweet, crunchy just along the edges with caramelized marshmallow, and it's chewy. The lemon square is also perfectly tart-sweet. If you're trying to avoid sugar in your diet, living so close to Sequoia is a nuisance.
