I am embarrassingly in love with this place. My absolute fave in the city because of the vibe inside, the beautiful people that work there (SO MUCH knowledge, I learn something new about food every time I'm there!) and they make insane creative
menu items and cocktails that get changed up on the regular. I don't have enough words for all of the great things about this place, it's just tha best!
This tiny little place is home to some great culinary minds. Creativity is key as much as finding local fresh ingredients. If they venture off the Island to find something to put on your plate there will be a good story and a reason. You can watch all your food being prepared in front of you in this tiny gem and see the magic transformation from ingredients to works of culinary art that you consume. Slow food at its best with prices that will have you questioning if you should ever prepare that 45 day old dry age steak yourself.
My wife and I came in the past weekend while we were on our honeymoon. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who greeted us but he very well represented Hanks A*. We were very nicely seated in the corner window seat. (perfect for us, it provided a great view and was cozy)
Wife ordered a local beer and I got a red blend. Both were good. As we were waiting for our drinks we wrote "honeymoon 2016" on the steamed up windows. When the server saw he congratulated us, gave us advice on sights to see locally and surprised us with a delicious appetizer of assorted cheese, lightly fried gnocchi with house made apple butter. FANTASTIC!
Our main course was phenomenal. Duck Stew and the Waygu steak! One of the best meals we both have ever had! All of you locals need to make this place a regular destination. Thanks to the staff for making this a very memorable night. Who ever waited on us is REALLY GREAT,
Thanks!
