I love how affordable Fujiya is! I have been going here since I was little with my family and their sushi rolls and bowls do not disappoint. I love their takoyaki, fried oysters and tempura! Their little poke cup is also really yummy so if you ever see it try it! They also have bento lunch sets and it comes with a little bit of different items. I also really like their selection of grocery items here too! It does get busy so make sure you come early if you want to get bowls, bentos or certain items!
Always affordable pricing on their sushi and fresh foods. Good spot to get cheap quality food. Lately they seem to be making more food even later in the day, which is great for picking up on the way home after work or school (3 pm ish). Previously they would run out relatively quick around this hour, but noticing an abundance of fresh still warm foods now during this time. There is still usually a good few choices in the fridge for sushi.
I have been here several times and have always been able to find what I need.
Today, I tried their sushi and it meets all of my expectations of what good sushi should taste like. Simple and yummy. I would recommend avoiding some restaurants' takeout and getting sushi here instead.

Love this place, Spicy Karaage Bowl is a masterpiece(Spicy though). It's more delicious than eating in Japan. This place is very popular to both Japanese and Canadian. I hope one day they will open a branch around Langford. Even only bentos. Please...!
Fujiya is one of the best of a generally mediocre Victoria food supplier community. Store too small. Product range is varied but does not include large sizes. Still prices are good and there is nowhere else. They need 5 times the space!
Really good fresh food! The only issue I ever have is trying to politely elbow in front of people to get your favourite sushi! Awesome selection of otherwise hard to get Asian staples.
This place is a local institution. Loads of ingredients and Japanese food products, and great sushi at pretty fair prices. Inflation has driven things up a bit, but it's still a great spot to go grab a bite on the go.
Best budget sushi in Victoria. I recommend the tamago roll. Great grocery for imported, Asian goods -- prices are 1-2$ cheaper than Fairway Market (Asian grocer) across the street.
Such a nice store with a great selection of sushi and food. Finally was able to visit and i’m glad I did. Got 4 rolls for an excellent price and they were very fresh and delicious.
If I could visit this supermarket more frequently, I would! That's if only I lived closer ... Fujiya Foods is hands down, the best Japanese store, let alone an Asian store in Victoria that sells Japanese and other Asian goods at affordable prices, and of good quality too. A lot of Japanese stores in downtown Victoria and other places are way overpriced, and not as stocked compared to this place. Sorry Walmart and Fairway market, even they can't compare to the quality and pricing of Fujiya Foods miso packs, sushi, Bento boxes and other meals. I always buy a bunch of snacks and meals here, and the staff here are also always nice and polite to their customers. The only slight downside is how tightly packed the shelves are, so it's usually a tight squeeze trying to move around other customers and even lining up. That's why they lose a star from being 5 stars. But otherwise, it is a must-visit for anybody looking for a variety of authentic Japanese foods and drinks, at an affordable price.
