Great pizza, decent portions for their salads and other appetizers and nice ambiance in the restaurant! I really like the caramel budino for dessert!
Found this amazing place after searching through all that Victoria has to offer. Absolutely delicious pizza; thin but chewy crust, amazing sauce and delicious toppings. Cooked in a matter of minutes it was some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! Had the diavola and quatro staggione. Yum!
Very good food authentic pizza, delicious meatballs and roasted vegetables. The locally made gelato was a great finish. The staff was very responsive and friendly. Although the place was hopping busy service was great. The atmosphere was right from the Mediterranean here on Canadas west coast. The chili oil was also very good.

I am such a big fan of authentic wood fire oven pizza. I had heard that Pizzeria Prima Strada was making some of Victoria’s best pizza so I paid them a visit. They have 3 locations throughout the city (Cook St, Bridge St and Fort St.) This post is about their Cook Street location. left this place in such a food coma. I could not stop eating my pizza. I wish I had space for one of their desserts, like the tiramisu.
Visiting from Alberta. Came here because of the great reviews from the locals. We loved it. Great pizza baked in wood fired oven. Service with a smile. They even locked our bikes up for us. 👍🚴

By far my favorite pizza place in Victoria... Haven't found anything like it anywhere else actually. The thin, fire baked crust and super fresh ingredients are sooo good every time! Every person I've brought to the cook street location is always as impressed as I am!
We are never disappointed with any of their pizzas whether we eat in or take out. The Cook Street location is a neighbourhood gem. We always take our out of town visitors there. Service is always prompt and friendly.
True Italian pizza crafted like they do in Naples in a wood fired oven. I've had a few different ones but my favorite is the mushroom. Fun atmosphere, terrific wait staff and pizza you'll come back for. Buon Appetito. :)
I think this might have been the best pizza I've ever had. It was a special for the night with olive oil, thyme, pancetta, a few kinds of cheese. They let me add arugula at no extra cost. Yum!
Second time dining at a Prima Strada but the first time at the Cook street location. It was a busy Saturday night and naturally there were no tables other than the ones at the bar. It was pretty easy coming to consensus on two pizzas. As my friend is vegetarian it's often very hard for us to agree on a restaurant that will have more than a veggie burger for her to pick from, let alone agreeing on two food items to order. We got the funghi supremo (yes it's oyster mushrooms, not actual oysters, as we embarrassingly realized) and the siciliana pizzas. Both were very delicious. My first impressions of Prima Strada weren't that high as I remembered the pizzas we got had a lot of burnt crust. But this time at Cook street they did a fine job.
You've been coming here for years and really do love it. Seems there was a little more flexibility in making additions or substitutions to some parts of the menu which was very welcomed. The wine we had was excellent and so was the pizza as always.
This Italian restaurant is fantastic! The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and of high quality. The staff are friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall positive experience. Personally, I'm a big fan of their pizzas, and the "polpette della casa" is outstanding - it tastes just like homemade. This place never disappoints!
It’s a hidden gem! The wood-fired pizzas here are truly authentic and unbeatable. The crust is perfectly thin and pillowy, the sauce is packed with flavour, and the chewy texture is simply lovely. If you're craving a delicious and mouthwatering pizza, look no further… We ordered the Margherita, and the Funghi Supremo pizza. Both pizzas were tasty and excellent! Having experienced pizzas in Italy for a whole month, we can confidently say the pizza is the real deal. 🍕Honestly, there’s no need to search elsewhere, Victoria's best Neapolitan Style pizza spot is right here! We are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! 💯👌
The thin crust pizza we selected exceeded our expectations with its abundant and intense flavors. The small, unassuming shop surprised us with the delightful culinary experience it offered. From the first bite of the pizza, it was evident that the ingredients had been carefully chosen to create a taste sensation that was both complex and satisfying. The richness of the toppings and the depth of the flavors left a lasting impression on our palates. It's safe to say that the unassuming exterior of the shop belied the remarkable culinary delights it had to offer.
Super yummy! Their bread recipe (both pizza-wise and the focaccia) is excellent. I recommend the housemade sausage over the housemade pepperoni.
Cheese is so essential to good pizza, so I have to take away a star for how stingy they are with the mozzarella. Like c'mon guys.
And this is being picky... but I do believe the pizza would benefit from an extra minute or two in the oven and an extra millimeter or two in thickness. There's a terrific chew to the crust, but they could still retain that and offer a slightly better char and structure.
Price is reasonable (aside from the extra cheese cost) and atmosphere is lovely.
I came here for a quick bite with my mom and oldest son after his band recital. The servers were busy but they were sweet. The food was hot and quick! We also ordered a pizza but we ate it prior to me getting a picture of it! Highly recommend. Great for a family night for pizza, a date night or a girls night!
Am the luckiest person in this world, because I live two blocks from this amazing restaurant, Am very picky when it's about pizza, And I tried all the pizza's here and all of them are amazing and every time am there I don't know what to eat this time.
I really high recommend this place, and try all the options available.
We had to have a quick lunch before an appointment. They accommodated our request and we were in and out in under 30 minutes! Great selection of thin crust pizzas, authentic and delicious. The warm olives were a fantastic appy.
The service was truly excellent. They were very kind to my children.
Nothing but good things to say about Prima Strada on Cook St! First visit in the books and the pizza, cocktails and service did not disappoint. Once upon a time, when we travelled to far away places, we would judge a pizza place by simply their margherita pizza. If you can nail the marg pizza, you're doing it right and that pizza oven meant business. Negroni sbagliato - yum. Negroni - even better. Moving along... we ordered the FUNghi supreme and it was perfection. I may or may not be eating the leftover piece this morning as I write this.....
Thank you Kayla for your service and please don't judge the writing of my review as you are the master of words.
See you soon PPS!
