If you yearn for a casual eating out venu with an inspired and changing menu, fresh, healthy ingredients prepared with tender loving care by chefs with educated palates, you will be as thrilled as I was to discover Part and Parcel. I had a delicious beet salad on quinoa rounded out withwith just the right amounts of complimentary greens, fennel, goat cheese and roasted hazelnuts. And perfect vinaigrette that did NOT come out of a bottle. I can't wait to go back to try out all the other mouth watering items on their menu. This is a foodie's sigh....and I like it that unlike the downtown eateries geared to tourists, it's a no fuss no muss Spartan and cheerful little place where orders are placed at the counter and then brought to the table by friendly and kind servers.
I love this place. I first went after several people told me I would love it. I wanted a salad really bad and couldn't think of a good place to grab something healthy. So when I went here and saw their salad was like dandelion, endive and kohlrabi, I was like, "F*#k all those bitter greens that's not what I wanted." The guy convinced me to get a broccoli sandwich. I was like, "WTF. This is too hipster even for me. But fine. I'm starving and I need something healthy." Who even makes a broccoli sandwich? Part and Parcel. And guess what. It was the best sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm not ashamed to admit my preconceptions were wildly unfounded. And pretty consistently, everything I've tried has been amazing. I went back the next day and got the beet salad. Freaking delicious.
What a quirky, cute spot! The menu items are totally unique and always a surprise when you get your orders. For the most part I have really enjoyed what I’ve had here (had one kind of bland dish but everything else made up for it by a mile). The people are so friendly as well!
Casual and innovative restaurant! I appreciate the playfulness on their menu; always giving their customers something new and exciting to try. I've had quite a few memorable meals here, and you have to order their gnocchi!
I have been here twice and the food is a breath of fresh air. I ate the morrocan fries and a pork belly with charred broccoli the first time (may 2016) snd it came with polenta the second time (August 2016). I'm not a fries person and the fries are pleasant spicy and tasty (not hot spicy). The food is seasonal, local, good tasting and mostly good for you. I say mostly because I cannot imagine that charred (burnt) broccoli is actually good for you nor is the pork belly as it's mostly fat, but it's good to treat yourself once in awhile, and I enjoyed eating here.
Their menu is always changing and the style of ordering and sitting and having the food served to you is a bit of a change, and sometimes the presentation is a bit over the top (see my half moon bowl- pretty but difficult to assess value). It can be very busy, crowded and noisy. Good for small groups and pairs, as they have multiple tables that can be put together and a couple of booths. Not a place for atmosphere. Good for kids. Parking is street parking.
I love this place! The seared octopus against a chilled gazpacho with mini baby tomatoes and tender, slightly pickled new potato.the flavours where amazingly balanced. Seriously , one of Victoria's most underrated restaurants.
My friends liked their food (pork belly and beef cheek) but I found the gnocchi too bland. The food looked better than it tasted. The ambience was nice.
Excellent quality unique flavours. Dishes are great size - we usually get two mains and salad between two of us and are totally satisfied. Easy clean simple atmosphere. Would prefer larger drink and dessert selection.
It's a somewhat self-service restaurant. You order, pay, get your own cutlery and water and find a table to sit ... if you can get a table, that is.
We had the lamb special and the regular beef tongue. Both were tasty although I found the tongue was a tad too salty. The plates were fairly filling as we didn't need to order any sides, next time, as we definitely will go back and try other dishes.
I hesitate to review this gem for fear that it will get so busy that I can't ever get a seat. But I must share the treasure with the rest of the foodies. Everyone needs to taste food prepared and served to this level of perfection. Period. See you again! And again, and again. :-)
I've been wanting to try Part and Parcel for a long time and finally got there today.
WOW! I was blown away. First off, I was watching (and smelling) every plate coming out of the kitchen and it was killing me. I already had a hard enough time trying to choose what to order based on the menu but seeing everyone else' food made me crazy. I finally decided to try the falafel plate and OMG was I happy I did. So many flavours, and everything was so fresh. My friend got the braised beef cheeks which she loved and the guy beside me had ordered the gnocchi which he said was great.
I will definitely go back and try other things on the menu.
Great unpretentious place with awesome food. The ambience was comfortable, friendly & relaxed. The meals (beet & quinoa salad; pork stew with grilled beans & soft boiled egg) were fantastic. What a wonderful addition to the Victoria restaurant scene. Can't wait to go back.
This brunch spot in BC is the best I've had! Located away from downtown, it's surprisingly popular. The kamut fried chicken with pickles and cilantro is a delightful fusion, and the pork belly rice bowl has a seafood rice-like texture. The crispy outside and tender inside of the pork belly are exceptional! The only downside is that the tonka bean iced latte is too sweet, but there aren't many coffee options
One of my favourite, if not “the”, restaurants in Victoria. Such high end, incredibly presented and delicious m, seasonal food. A fine selection of meat and vegetarian meals. Great plates for sharing with a limited, but well paired wine selection. The cocktails are well crafted and delicious. The wait staff are knowledgeable and really take care of the guests. I’ve dined here many times and always loved the food and service. Highly recommend!
We ate here for lunch and had the malt fries as an appetizer. The soba noodles were flavorful and complex, the grill cheese was gooey with abundant cheese, and the kamut chicken sandwich was delicious. I appreciated that the coleslaw didn't include mayo. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert, which was not as firm as New York cheesecake but firmer than Italian style cheesecake; great texture. I would eat here again.
Great experience. Food was delicious the portions are “fine dining” size. The wine selection is limited but good.
Overall great experience! Started with a condensed milk shaft that I absolutely loved and every dish that followed was great. I ordered the pork and the texture was perfect, very soft and dissolved in your mouth. The broccoli and the cheesecake were also super tasty. I ordered three dishes to share, one cheesecake, and one cookie and it was more than enough for two people so I recommend sharing. Service was great, we sat at the bar and they were very attentive and helpful when explaining portion size etc. I would definitely recommend this place!
This has got to be the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! It was juicy and crispy and the sauces were all finger licking good! The menu changes often too so I can’t wait to come back when it does!
Following the high rating on Google I made my way to this inconspicuous little gem in the Quadra Village of Victoria. It’s easy to pass it on the street so keep looking if you miss it first time. The food is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I got there in time for happy hour and tasted two amazing appetizers for $8 total. One was made from only chickpea flour and deep fried to perfection served with a delicious spicy sauce. The second delicious piece was grilled pork belly. The flavour was fabulous. I ordered the Kalettes veggie main course and again the flavours didn’t disappoint. Rich and unusual while being amazing. My server strongly recommended the chocolate dessert which I cannot say enough about. It was sweet, salty, creamy and decadent without being overpowering. Overall the meal was 5 star. The vibe of the place is calm and smooth while being friendly and relaxed. I will definitely be back.
Great space and amazing Turkish poached eggs with such flavours! Just the right amount of service also.
I want to come back to Victoria just for this restaurant. Every single dish was fresh, delicious, and a unique combination of flavors. Food came out at the perfect cadence and staff was super attentive. We ordered 2 smaller plates and two of the larger ones plus a dessert which was a good amount for two hungry athletes. Also plenty of gluten free options! This is a BC farm to table style restaurant you don’t want to miss.
I love this funky little restaurant- have been several times over the years and most recently twice this fall. Happy to say the food is still delicious, the drinks tasty, and the staff, fantastic. Just have the charred broccoli sandwich- sounds weird I know, but is just so so good!
