If you yearn for a casual eating out venu with an inspired and changing menu, fresh, healthy ingredients prepared with tender loving care by chefs with educated palates, you will be as thrilled as I was to discover Part and Parcel. I had a delicious beet salad on quinoa rounded out withwith just the right amounts of complimentary greens, fennel, goat cheese and roasted hazelnuts. And perfect vinaigrette that did NOT come out of a bottle. I can't wait to go back to try out all the other mouth watering items on their menu. This is a foodie's sigh....and I like it that unlike the downtown eateries geared to tourists, it's a no fuss no muss Spartan and cheerful little place where orders are placed at the counter and then brought to the table by friendly and kind servers.

I love this place. I first went after several people told me I would love it. I wanted a salad really bad and couldn't think of a good place to grab something healthy. So when I went here and saw their salad was like dandelion, endive and kohlrabi, I was like, "F*#k all those bitter greens that's not what I wanted." The guy convinced me to get a broccoli sandwich. I was like, "WTF. This is too hipster even for me. But fine. I'm starving and I need something healthy." Who even makes a broccoli sandwich? Part and Parcel. And guess what. It was the best sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm not ashamed to admit my preconceptions were wildly unfounded. And pretty consistently, everything I've tried has been amazing. I went back the next day and got the beet salad. Freaking delicious.

So lucky this happens to be in my hood as it is some of the best cuisine in this city. Ingredients are fresh, menu inventive and the vibe casual and comfortable. Most importantly, the fried chicken sandwich might change your life.

So enjoyed the Gnocchi, chocolate chip cookie, & pot of Earl Grey tea - prefer tea stronger though. Always a welcoming and caring place. An fav asset in my neighbourhood.

The sandwich "nicois" is absolutely delicious and best fries in town. The food is super fresh. I work nearby and it is so nice to have this option in the neighborhood. I wish I could eat at Part and Parcel everyday. You must try the canele if you never had them before!

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Victoria. This food tastes like it was thoughtfully and artfully prepared by foodies. Flavour, presentation, quality of ingredients are all above par. Well priced too, which makes it an easy go-to for people who enjoy practicing the art of eating :)

Delicious, fresh and healthy! Loved the chicken sandwich, the gnocchi was heavenly, crispy Moroccan fries, and the steelhead had a lovely smoke to it

What a quirky, cute spot! The menu items are totally unique and always a surprise when you get your orders. For the most part I have really enjoyed what I’ve had here (had one kind of bland dish but everything else made up for it by a mile). The people are so friendly as well!

Casual and innovative restaurant! I appreciate the playfulness on their menu; always giving their customers something new and exciting to try. I've had quite a few memorable meals here, and you have to order their gnocchi!

I have been here twice and the food is a breath of fresh air. I ate the morrocan fries and a pork belly with charred broccoli the first time (may 2016) snd it came with polenta the second time (August 2016). I'm not a fries person and the fries are pleasant spicy and tasty (not hot spicy). The food is seasonal, local, good tasting and mostly good for you. I say mostly because I cannot imagine that charred (burnt) broccoli is actually good for you nor is the pork belly as it's mostly fat, but it's good to treat yourself once in awhile, and I enjoyed eating here.

Their menu is always changing and the style of ordering and sitting and having the food served to you is a bit of a change, and sometimes the presentation is a bit over the top (see my half moon bowl- pretty but difficult to assess value). It can be very busy, crowded and noisy. Good for small groups and pairs, as they have multiple tables that can be put together and a couple of booths. Not a place for atmosphere. Good for kids. Parking is street parking.

I love this place! The seared octopus against a chilled gazpacho with mini baby tomatoes and tender, slightly pickled new potato.the flavours where amazingly balanced. Seriously , one of Victoria's most underrated restaurants.

My friends liked their food (pork belly and beef cheek) but I found the gnocchi too bland. The food looked better than it tasted. The ambience was nice.

Excellent quality unique flavours. Dishes are great size - we usually get two mains and salad between two of us and are totally satisfied. Easy clean simple atmosphere. Would prefer larger drink and dessert selection.

It's a somewhat self-service restaurant.  You order, pay, get your own cutlery and water and find a table to sit ... if you can get a table, that is.

We had the lamb special and the regular beef tongue.  Both were tasty although I found the tongue was a tad too salty.  The plates were fairly filling as we didn't need to order any sides, next time, as we definitely will go back and try other dishes.

I hesitate to review this gem for fear that it will get so busy that I can't ever get a seat. But I must share the treasure with the rest of the foodies. Everyone needs to taste food prepared and served to this level of perfection. Period. See you again! And again, and again. :-)

I've been wanting to try Part and Parcel for a long time and finally got there today.
WOW! I was blown away. First off, I was watching (and smelling) every plate coming out of the kitchen and it was killing me. I already had a hard enough time trying to choose what to order based on the menu but seeing everyone else' food made me crazy. I finally decided to try the falafel plate and OMG was I happy I did. So many flavours, and everything was so fresh. My friend got the braised beef cheeks which she loved and the guy beside me had ordered the gnocchi which he said was great.
I will definitely go back and try other things on the menu.

Great unpretentious place with awesome food. The ambience was comfortable, friendly & relaxed. The meals (beet & quinoa salad; pork stew with grilled beans & soft boiled egg) were fantastic. What a wonderful addition to the Victoria restaurant scene. Can't wait to go back.

Great lunch place. You have to wait awhile for the food but when it arrives it tastes amazing. Everything is fresh and incredibly flavourful. The quality of the ingredients and food is excellent. You can tell they put alot of effort into beautiful plating. Prices are reasonable.

Delecious Fries, Friendly Staff. Stopped in to check this place out today, loved how the self serve water had lemon in it, and the Moroccan fries were to die for, my new favorite in town, and a huge portion for only 5$!

Excellent Food and Atmosphere. I've been frequenting Part and Parcel since two weeks after it opened and it's quickly become one of my favourite spots. If you're a foodie who enjoys a unique culinary experience, you've got to check this place out. Firstly, they make EVERYTHING in house. One of the chefs told me they even make their own vinegar for the salad dressings. Secondly, the food is so fresh and tasty - I've never been disappointed. The menu changes a little bit every day, but they seem to keep a few staples available for those of us who develop favourites. Thirdly, they seem to bring a new spin to every dish they create. I'm constantly delighted by what they create.

My favourite dish is the chicken wings. They do FULL chicken wings that are incredibly crunchy but not greasy in the slightest. They are a real treat. Best part, they're gluten-friendly. They're battered in a magic rice-flour/potato-starch mix. I wouldn't go as far to say they are Celiac-safe, as they're made in the same kitchen as other gluten-y items, but I'm gluten-intolerant and I can eat the chicken wings with no discomfort at all.

Part and Parcel also has lovely salads. The Quinoa Salad has in-house pickled beets, poppy seeds, and a lovely dressing. It's very yummy! They currently have a Winter Squash Salad on the menu that has the most incredible carrot-miso dressing (they warned me that there was trace amounts gluten in the miso for this one, but I was fine).

As for service, so far it has always been lovely. It's a casual-dining format, where you order at the counter and pay up front, then grab your utensils, and then they serve you at your table. The girls at the counter are always friendly and knowledgeable, and if I have any questions they can't answer, they can turn around and ask the chefs because the kitchen it right there. Overall the staff have a really great vibe. Also, I like that they keep fresh pitchers of water on the counter (one with lemon, one with cucumbers) so you can always help yourself.

I saw one other reviewer felt that the portions were a little small, but I have to disagree. I'm a medium-sized person but I've never left there hungry. It's not like pub food where you get a huge plate, but nor would I call the portions sparse, either. I always feel perfectly full when I'm done. I actually appreciate that they don't fill out the plates with huge piles of starch, because this place is about the experiencing the great flavours they create, not stuffing yourself on rice.

Overall, I'd for sure recommend Part and Parcel. Perfect for lunch, or a bite to eat before heading to The Roxy, or just a chill place to share a meal with a friend.

So excited to try Part and Parcel!. I've walked past it almost everyday since before it opened, and I'm always looking at the daily menu posted on their Instagram page.... needless to say I was very excited to finally give them a try last week. The counter staff were lovely. The restaurant was very clean. The washrooms were nice. Most importantly, the food was delicious. I had the tuna sandwich. I loved the soft-boiled eggs on it, it was an excellent touch. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu! Oh yeah, and did I mention they have a $10 corking fee? Can't get better than that!

Great addition to neighborhood!. I recently visited Part and Parcel with a friend for lunch and I was so impressed with everything from the trendy decor, the friendly counter service and of course the delicious, well prepared food. We tried a few things: beet and quinoa salad, fried chicken sandwich, potato and kale soup, rosewater, yummy fries and a decadent rosewater meringue. I have attached a couple of photos. We enjoyed everything and the beet salad was surprisingly good. I like that they use interesting bowls and plates for their food. It is simple, fresh, and everything has a bit if a twist which makes it interesting. I live in the neighborhood and plan on being a regular customer!

Date: 24 Nov 2014 By: Janine Tags: bacon , chicken , Coffee , Dinner , Lunch , Restaurant , review , sandwich , vegetarian , victoria , wings Comment: 0   This place was so good I had to break my blogging hiatus (sorry about being MIA) to tell the world about it. Part and Parcel is located in Quadra Village (corner of Quadra and Hillside). It’s a casual bistro style restaurant with a menu that really focuses on local and sustainable cuisine. I love that they have healthy salad options but at the same time they’re not afraid of a deep fryer like some hippy dippy restaurants around town. Sustainable and local should taste good too!!! I loved my meal so much I ate here two days in a row. On my first visit came around noon and the place was already pretty packed. It’s counter service and even though they have some items listed on their blackboard menu they have a more extensive menu on a piece of paper up at the counter. There’s only about 8-10 tables so it can get filled up fast. I ordered the chicken wings ($8) and the smoked sooke trout with potato and kale salad ($11). The prices are extremely reasonable and they all include tax in the price! The food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The chicken wings were amazingly crispy. One or two were on the dry side but otherwise excellent. The trout had a bold smoky flavour to it and the light lemon dressing it came with was out of this world. I wanted to lick it off the plate. Overall the salad was nice and light and exactly what I needed for lunch.

This brunch spot in BC is the best I've had! Located away from downtown, it's surprisingly popular. The kamut fried chicken with pickles and cilantro is a delightful fusion, and the pork belly rice bowl has a seafood rice-like texture. The crispy outside and tender inside of the pork belly are exceptional! The only downside is that the tonka bean iced latte is too sweet, but there aren't many coffee options

One of my favourite, if not “the”, restaurants in Victoria. Such high end, incredibly presented and delicious m, seasonal food. A fine selection of meat and vegetarian meals. Great plates for sharing with a limited, but well paired wine selection. The cocktails are well crafted and delicious. The wait staff are knowledgeable and really take care of the guests. I’ve dined here many times and always loved the food and service. Highly recommend!

We ate here for lunch and had the malt fries as an appetizer. The soba noodles were flavorful and complex, the grill cheese was gooey with abundant cheese, and the kamut chicken sandwich was delicious. I appreciated that the coleslaw didn't include mayo. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert, which was not as firm as New York cheesecake but firmer than Italian style cheesecake; great texture. I would eat here again.

Overall great experience! Started with a condensed milk shaft that I absolutely loved and every dish that followed was great. I ordered the pork and the texture was perfect, very soft and dissolved in your mouth. The broccoli and the cheesecake were also super tasty. I ordered three dishes to share, one cheesecake, and one cookie and it was more than enough for two people so I recommend sharing. Service was great, we sat at the bar and they were very attentive and helpful when explaining portion size etc. I would definitely recommend this place!

This has got to be the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! It was juicy and crispy and the sauces were all finger licking good! The menu changes often too so I can’t wait to come back when it does!

Following the high rating on Google I made my way to this inconspicuous little gem in the Quadra Village of Victoria. It’s easy to pass it on the street so keep looking if you miss it first time. The food is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I got there in time for happy hour and tasted two amazing appetizers for $8 total. One was made from only chickpea flour and deep fried to perfection served with a delicious spicy sauce. The second delicious piece was grilled pork belly. The flavour was fabulous. I ordered the Kalettes veggie main course and again the flavours didn’t disappoint. Rich and unusual while being amazing. My server strongly recommended the chocolate dessert which I cannot say enough about. It was sweet, salty, creamy and decadent without being overpowering. Overall the meal was 5 star. The vibe of the place is calm and smooth while being friendly and relaxed. I will definitely be back.

I want to come back to Victoria just for this restaurant. Every single dish was fresh, delicious, and a unique combination of flavors. Food came out at the perfect cadence and staff was super attentive. We ordered 2 smaller plates and two of the larger ones plus a dessert which was a good amount for two hungry athletes. Also plenty of gluten free options! This is a BC farm to table style restaurant you don’t want to miss.

I love this funky little restaurant- have been several times over the years and most recently twice this fall. Happy to say the food is still delicious, the drinks tasty, and the staff, fantastic. Just have the charred broccoli sandwich- sounds weird I know, but is just so so good!
