Papa's Gourmet Pizza Ltd

This is a small casual spot on Main Street, serving up pizzas, a big selection of pastas, and various casual Greek fare. For my visit, I had a slice of their Pesto Chicken pizza and also a large Mac and Cheese. While I did find the pasta to be a bit too bland and watery, the pizza was quite tasty and loaded with a good amount of flavourful topping. The prices are very good, especially for their pastas, where you get a very large portion for currently just $10. Moreover, the staff were also very friendly. All in all, while their food does have room for improvement, I still really enjoyed my visit, and I'd highly recommend checking this place out.

Pesto Chicken Pizza Slice ($2.25):

The pizza was quite heavy and loaded with toppings consisting of chicken, pesto, and feta cheese. It was very flavourful, perhaps a bit salty for those who who don't like overly salty foods, but I really enjoyed it. I did find the crust to be a bit soft, probably because it had been sitting out under a lamp for a while, but that did not bother me too much.

This came with two slices of garlic bread, which were perfectly toasted, buttery with a nice flavour of garlic. I absolutely loved the layer of gooey, rich cheese on top. The noodles themselves were a tad on the soft side, but not too mushy. I was disappointed with the sauce however: I found it to be way too watery and hence, did not really coat the noodles too well, and was also quite bland. The portion was very generous: I ended up taking about half of it home. It actually tasted better reheated the next day, after the sauce had thickened.

We ordered a Special #2 ($25), which includes 1 medium pizza, 1 medium pasta, 1 house salad, and garlic toast. For the pizza, you can pick from anything they have, or build-your-own. We picked the Seafood Special and for the pasta, we picked Lasagna. They make everything on the spot, so we had to wait about 20minutes. Although the pizza lacked in the stringy-cheese-effect when I took a piece, the flavour was good and it had a decent amount of toppings! The lasagna was quite amazing. It had some veggies & minced beef and the cheesiness was perfect!!! The 'house salad' was actually a greek salad, but I didn't mind that. It had a lot of olives, so my mom was super happy about that. The garlic bread was just average/ mediocre though.
Be sure to tell them if you will be eating there, if not they will pack everything in the take-away containers. (the salad was plated differently since they realized we were actually eating the food there)

Good quality ingredients. My wife and I walk here from English Bay. Friendly staff. Really enjoy the pizza. We always order a whole one so it is nice and hot and delicious.

There is no better pizzeria than Papa's! I've been going there my whole life and have yet to be dissapointed with the food. Affordable, delicious, and friendly service... What more could you ask for? I recommend this superb place to everyone.

Poutine!. Haven't been here lately but I frequent it a lot during my school days. What I want to rave about is actually not their pizza but their poutine! Their poutine with 'meat sauce' is a must-try. Delicious meat sauce with a generous amount of minced beef, drizzled on top of hot crispy fries (cut to the perfect size). On top of that, there's melted cheese as well! Together with the meat sauce and fries, the poutine is the best meat sauce poutine I've eaten.

Best pizza hands down. Papa's Pizza is AWESOME! Love the specials and the creativity, my favorite is Papa's special (everything on it), love that they have whole wheat dough - best dough in town, love the quaint atmosphere.
The owners are like your family. I used to live in the neighborhood and dropped by everyday. Whenever I make it back in town now I always make sure to get my Papa's fix.
