"Manager dressed in company colours, burgundy and a bowtie. It was fitting since its a French inspired scene and felt in place. Server took my order but the manager did all the work.
Later he explained he instructed his server to focus on other tables and that she isn't ignoring me or neglecting me. I was impressed and tipped knowing food was fast and service was ideal"
This location has been here so many years, and I believe this location opens the earliest then others.
It was Christmas day. My girlfriend and I wanted to walk our husky and grab street food, before handing out presents to the homeless.
I was always a big fan if sweet crepes growing up. But it wasn't until 3 years ago, at the German Christmas festival here in Vancouver, I've experienced savoury crepes with my girlfriend. My whole perception changed. I now also love savoury crepes.
This team on Christmas day was hard working. The person who was making our crepe made a mistake. We didn't get cooked spinach in it so that person added raw spinach. It was Christmas day, it wasn't a big deal. We were just grateful we had the day off honestly. I was waiting outside with my husky and finally my girlfriend came out with the biggest grin on her face.
The savoury crepe is delicious. I would come back again to try other savoury crepes.

For all the years that I have been hanging around Vancouver this is the first time I have been to Cafe Crepe. We decided on crepes because my Filipina partner had never had them before! Well, let's fix that! Arriving on Christmas eve at about 10:30 am, there was a bit of a lineup. This was a time when being a two some was an advantage as we were invited in immediately to sit at one of several booths for two. Coffee arrived quickly thank goodness. It was good coffee but I would not come just for that. My partner had the French Toast Crepe which was sweet and tasty with eggs, cinnamon sugar and maple syrup. I went savory and had the Crepe Francaise. They actually had me at "duck confit". The dish came with a little scoop of caramelized onions and a duck 'drumstick' as a sort of garnish. Both were delicious but were barely warm which detracted from the experience a bit. The crepe itself stuffed with confit and cheese was tasty. A little pricey at $16.95 for what you get. Service was efficient and gracious especially considering that the place was jumping. Comfortable booths, the decor evokes Paris (I guess) with posters and tiles and red walls with black accents. Not bad if you are a breakfast person or looking for a sweet snack.
