The food was amazing, as was the service and staff. Highly recommend this place, only challenge is the no reservations policy.
Awesome place, great food, so delicious, really good service, friendly stuff. I felt like I was back to Paris!
I'm very thankful to have this beautiful French restaurant in my neighborhood. Finally tried it for the 1st time. You have to get there early as its 1st come 1st served and due to it's exceptional service and food it's busy but well worth the wait. I went for dinner but plan on returning very soon for their breakfast. You couldn't go wrong with anything on the well thought out menu. But you must try the cheese board served table side. Enjoy!
The place is small and cozy, the server are very friendly and helpful, they give good recommendations to try dishes and cocktails. The food is delicious, the stake is 100% recommended. The deserts have the right sweetness. This place is an excellent choice for dinner.
As someone who has visited France several times, this is the closest imitation to a truly authentic french experience I have seen in Vancouver. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and my favorite part was that the dessert was both exceptional and deliberate. It did not feel like an afterthought on the menu. I recommend checking this place out!
This is one of our favourite restaurants in Vancouver! It’s super charming, casual, and you can tell the food is executed with intent. There’s no fluff in their dishes, we love how simple and delicious everything is. We always have a good time here after a long day of work, or just to catch up with friends over good food and wine! Last night’s dessert special Paris brest with hazelnut cream filling was so decadent! Can’t wait to be back again!
The service was nice and the food was fabulous.
I love the vibe and their wine ~ except that the portion of the steak was abit too small. I viewed the photos of others which usually served 5-6 slices… mine only contained 4small slices. It’s suspicious 🥲 but other than that, everything is perfect. (Highly recommend their duck !!)
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. I had always wanted to walk in and I finally tried Au Comptoir. Ordered 2 Entrecote steaks. Beautifully cut, cooked and served. Atmosphere is reminiscent of a Brasserie (on the modern side) of Paris with a highly skilled and welcoming owner. Service, food, prices, ambience basically everything gets five stars.:)
Such a cute place that transport you to the streets of Paris with the small bistro tables. The way they have it set up on the sidewalk patio will be such a vibe in the summer to people watch. Brunch is always a delight there. Their croissants are from Beaucoup Bakery which in my opinion have one of the best croissants in the city. Slightly disappointed they don’t make it in house but they do proof and bake Beaucoup’s dough in house. But the rest of the brunch menu is delicious!
Ever wondered what a Parisian cafe is like? Check out Au Comptoir 😎 It’s obviously not Paris, but the ambiance is very stereotypical with the waiters speaking French and all.
The food was delicious, portions are smaller than your typical North American size (probably for the better), and they had great attention to detail for how the food looked.
My personal favourite was the duck salad, because it wa se ouch food to make me content, yet I didn’t feel heavy or lethargic afterwards. I didn’t personally try the burger but my mom enjoyed it, and the Moltan cake was good, especislly with the raspberry sorbet (as expected). Lastly, the cappuccinos are strong… if you need that caffeine kick, get the espresso. It left me buzzing 🐝
It’s not a cheap eat, but the price matched the quality of food and I would definitely come back. It’s really just a cute, charming cafe.
