One of the best pizza places . Freshly made dough , fresh ingredients and optimally cooked and served. Reasonable prices , optimal hygienic conditions and friendly staff as well .
Pizza Pide is lovely Turkish restaurant at the corner of Gerrard and Pape specializing in Pide - Turkish oblong thin crust pizza and Lahmacun - minced meat, minced vegetables and herbs baked in a stone oven. Nice staff serving delicious food best had with a bottle of Ayran (yogurt drink).
Hole in the wall with outdated setting but with food from heaven. Turkish style pizzas with amazing flavours. I tried every item on the menu and started changing some ingredients. Great prices for fancy taste 👍👍
It's one of my absolute favourite places in Toronto, their Turkish prides are amazing. The place might not look appealing to walk in, but it really is a must try!
Yes, it is fashionable to call pide Turkish pizza and this place DOES pizza too. It is a disservice.
If pizza were folded over, served with fresh veggies and lemon and had sumac to be sprinkled over them... anyways, not pizza.
Tried a sausage and cheese that could at a stretch be compared to your standard pie but it was more like chorizo and a great crust. My dining partner had ground meat and spinach and the cook in her wisdom suggested cheese, maybe feta? Both crusts were crispy and brightly shellacked. Eating them with raw onion, tomato, pickled peppers, parsley and a splash of lemon brought them to life.
We got two of these suckers and could have made do with one. These are tasty and filling.
The decor is plastic on plastic on plastic and wood. It is a take out joint that feels like so many other small shops in the area where English is only spoken to customers.
I wish there were more places that felt like this and consistently put out food with pride.
