Very nice atmosphere. I don't know if it's the best sushi place in Toronto but is the best sushi place I've been. Fantastic food fresh and tasty!!! The tempura is the best ! For sure we will back!!
I don't know if it is the best Sushi restaurant in the city, but I can assure you it is definitely one the best. Service and food is excellent. Would highly recommend
Great quality
The sushi was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I hate sushi that's main ingredient is tempura or when most of the menu is deep fried. This is not that at all. The bento box lunch was high quality and quite a lot of food. I ordered two fabulous rolls and that was too much. Glad we found this place, I'd definitely return if I'm in town again.
Dropped by a few days ago, decided now is a good time as any to do a review, seeing as I've been here a few times before.
The decor is very contemporary, dark hues to the walls and seating arrangements alike. Gives you a relaxed vibe and allows you to wind down and relax during your night out. Lighting also compliments the feeling they're going for. They also did a small renovation, as the bar area where the Chefs once stood is not as pronounced and its' seating is now replaced with more tables for guests.
Varied visits have had me the pleasure of sampling a good size of their menu, ranging from their kalbi dinners, bento boxes and sushi boats. The boats always have that "wow" factor, and here isn't any different. Colourful palette, with the flowers and vines really draw your attention in. Safe to say that most of their food here is worth the price.
Service is pretty much the standard fare. Not bad but nothing to make it really stand out either.
All in all a nice place to wine and dine for all occasions. Everything they're doing must be right, because this strip of Yonge St. is notorious for failing restaurant establishments.
It is not value for the money. Very expensive. Food is okay. Very busy in lunch hour.
Everyone here puts off a positive vibe that’s hard to describe; it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. You’ve got the chef, just rocking out art with a smile and his whole staff hurriedly attending to everyone with a smile. Made my day.
Oh, and the food is gorgeous and modestly priced.
My partner has been raving about Sushi Moto for some time now and last week I finally got to try it. The Green Dragon Roll here was to die for! The Karaage was also great, although it had too thick of a breading for my liking. All the stuff in the bento were amazing and I really liked the tempura. The prices were a bit high but I guess the quality of the food make up for it.
Went for a quick lunch. They have a great staff who are really friendly. As a vegetarian I was disappointed when I didn't find any veg sushi combo for lunch..I ended up ordering seperately. The quality of the food is top notch and tasted super yummyy!!
So, the only recommendation to the restaurant would be to include veg sushi combos for vegetarian sushi lovers like me.
Beautiful interior, very attentive staff and good presentation of food. Our lunch combo portion was generous and came with miso, salad and noodles. Sushi quality was good though it tasted a bit bland.
Been coming to Moto for years and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it. Delicious sushi, always fresh. Amazing service! The BEST saki sangria!!! Amazing avocado salad
The sushi is really good and the atmosphere is really cozy. The only downside is they are extremely busy so you cannot relax and spend more than couple of hours here.. because there is always someone waiting in the line for your table 😊
The restaurant was very spacious and service was very quick. I was given tea right after I was seated.
I had the chirashi dinner and it was bigger than I expected. It also came with a small noodle soup appetizer, salad and miso soup. The chirashi itself had a good amount of sashimi. The sashimi was also fresh and tasty. The rice was seasoned well and had hints of nuttiness from the sesame seeds.
Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and would come back again.
I am big on sushi and sushi Moto is a nice place to dine in or get takeout.
The staff are amazing, helpful and patient. It was my friend first time trying sushi and the waitress patiently explained each of her questions and gave us a complimentary extra salad which was really sweet.
The quality of food was good, tasty and fresh!
Definitely a place to go next time if you want to try some sushi with beautiful designs!
We got sushi pizza and few spicy salmon, tuna, dynamite and chicken noodle!
All were tasty and good!
I went with 3 other adults and 2 kids, with the party of 6, we had lot of fun. Our server was awesome. He helped us with our questions and was very friendly. He had his mask on at all time.
Before heading there, we did the reservations and was seated without any wait. There was no line up as well.
Food was very delicious and we had lots of left over too. Our server didn't hesitate at all to pack it for us.
I Used ladies washroom which was downstairs. It was very clean, not smelly, TP stocked up and garbage bin was easily accessible as well.
I am definitely coming back and recommending my friends.
If you’re looking for a great delicious a la carte sushi, don’t miss Sushi Moto.
It was not busy the time we were there, but we enjoyed every minute there.
Waitress was very friendly,
Avocado salad was as nice as always I tried it,
This time I tried their Avocado tempura, so creamy, crunchy and delicious 😋😋
And the combination of Sashimi, Sushi and Macki was very fresh,
The best part was its desert, Ice cream banana tempura, I ordered it two times 😝
Was a good experience. Clean spot. Our server Stephanie was great. The timing for appetizers to entre is nice. One thing I would recommend is a better description of the food on the menu. We though we were ordering ribeye steak but it was cut. Nonetheless was good tasting.
Went on a week night. Not too busy which was nice since I'm still unsure about eating out due to Covid. They've added flexiglass above the booths and people respect safety protocols so you feel safe. The staff are always super friendly and the food is great. I like the fact that there's many booths, also the casual environment where you can watch sports even if there's no sound (not too many to be distracting). It's not Japanese buffet but portions are a good size and I couldn't eat much more anyways. It wasn't my first visit and I'll definitely be back again. Terrikayi chicken bento box was $29 for dinner but I think it's $10 less during lunch (maybe you get a bit less at lunch)
Awesome bento! I’m pregnant and was afraid the pandemic might have had an effect on quality, Sushi Moto is always as delicious as before! We love their lunch bento there, really fresh and awesome service!
A great place for sushi, where I'd recommend trying as many rolls as you can.
[Food] We ordered the small sushi, which was a good amount for 3 guys. The sushi was very good and I enjoyed every roll we had. I'd definitely come back.
[Service] The waitress led us to believe the small sushi wasn't enough but luckily it was enough food.
