Today it is a remembrance day, I don’t expect that restaurant will be empty or even no line up for seats. However, there has a server, I can’t remember her name but wearing circle glasses with white shirt. She was the first person who walked over and asked me for staying in or taking orders. Also, I believe that the moment I had seem 8-10 people lining up for drinks or food. Feel respect and caring ! Drinks and Food ready within 30 mins and Giving me additional discount on top. Just had lunch from Typhoon. Had the plain pancake, kimchi udon and pork and chive dumplings and have to say it was very tasty and was the best lunch I've had in a while. Cannot wait to try more of their menu!
Their Deep Fried Squid is one of my favorite dishes that I usually order with their two side dishes. I also love their Takoyaki. They have a variety of tea and milk tea as well. The restaurant has a cool ambiance.

Typhoon resides in the shadow of the massive Continental Seafood Restaurant so that you might easily miss it. That would be such a shame. It's a busy little Taiwanese place with several pages of bubble tea choices on their menu in addition to some savoury favourites. We arrived on a Sunday evening to a nearly full house but got seated right away. We ordered Deep Fried Tofu to start. It arrived crisp and hot with a spicy sauce and a sweeter Hoisin type sauce. A little salt on the tofu would not have been amiss but the sauce made up for it. We had the Five Spice Beef with Chinese Pankade which was also tasty. It was cut into 4 manageable pieces which wanted to unravel but that's OK. The pancake was excellent with a nice chew while the beef was quite tender. My choice was the Satay Lamb Fried Noodle. Its arrival was accompanied by the slight scent of fish sauce but that fish sauce blended into the taste of the dish and was not noticeable as a flavour. All of the elements of this were enjoyable.Marie's choice was the Sesame Oil Chicken Hot Pot. This dish started with a spectacular broth redolent of chicken, mushrooms and the slight taste of sesame oil and ginger. Excellent! The treasures within included fish balls, greens, enoki mushrooms and some very tender tasty chicken. At under $12 this seemed like a bit of a bargain. In fact, everything here is well priced and decent. Service was efficient and to the point if not ebullient. Tables and chairs were comfortable enough even if they are a bit close together.
Excellent food, excellent value!
I know it's not in the "hip" side of a Richmond where young people want to hang, but perhaps that's what makes this place awesome. Never a wait to be seated, quiet environment to eat and talk, and the fastest service you'll ever find in a BBT restaurant!
The food is also excellent and authentically Taiwanese. The price is also on point, and they have specials such as buy 2 drinks get 1 free after 8PM (as of September 2018).
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal, or excellent takeout!
I always come to this place when I’m at Richmond. The food is affordable with good qualities!!! I really enjoy all the food on their menu. The bbt slushes are rich and thick! Highly recommended to everyone.

Great tea flavours...beautiful passion fruit green tea. Tasted much better than other places. Nicely presented slushes. Service needs a little work but overall great place for bubble tea.

Ordered this lunch combo and it was delicious! Portion was generous, beef was tender and juicy, iced tea tasted taiwanese authentic. I would definitely come back again!
The service was quick and helpful. I ordered two bubble tea slush, which was a milky caramel machiato and a Taro ice cream slush.
They only accept cash and E-transfers are also welcome.
All in all GREAT!! Definitely recommend, there is alot to choose from.

Fried chicken nuggets are the best 👌 Sitting arrangements are kinda congested. Stuffs are nice and friendly.
A populate Taiwanese style cafe on No. 5 Rd. It is quite small so I would suggest going there with a small party (4 people). The price was lower than Pearl Castle and the food quality was way better. Service was excellent too. We asked for xtra bowls few times separately and the waitress was helping us with a smile.

Their drinks are really good and the owner is very nice! They let me order when they were already closing and let me pay the next time I came back, and today when I came back they gave me 2 drinks for the price of one!! Awesome people and awesome place!!
Used the coupon to visit here for the first time. Food selection and quality are actually pretty good. I would say it's on par with Strike on West Broadway. The service we received was not the best (thus one star off), but it's definitely good enough. I guess they improved it in the past weeks as I read some poor reviews from early days. For the price, and the quantity, and the taste, this is definitely a place we are going to come again and recommend to our friends.
I look forward to raising my review to 5 stars after more visits.
