It's rare that one finds a person as accommodating, welcoming, warm and gracious as our host for the evening, Dave. Together with the server and chef, they presented a beautifully simple menu that captures the very essence of local, carefully selected and beautifully presented foods. With six at our table and this being our first visit, we let Dave's cordial and thoughtful team select our entrees. Bringing our meal together was their a varied wine selection, assortment of craft beers, fresh local charcuterie and some of the most amazing oysters we've ever sampled.
Each dish was picture perfect, just the right size and touched on the right flavor points.
When time came, we couldn't leave without dessert - creamy, chocolate ganache with fruit and delicate pastry made this meal one of the best I've ever had.
I cannot wait to visit again.
Delicious, great service, cool vibe. This was a bit hard to find, off the beaten path, but well worth her search. I'm told the menu changes frequently. I had pork pastrami as a starter—the best dish I've had in recent memory—the hanger steak, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Great night at Buvette Scott! We ordered the asparagus as an appetizer. It was served with juicy morel mushrooms and a fried garlic bread crumb blend - it was perfect. For entrées we had the halibut and lamb chops. The halibut was poached and served in a beurre blanc sauce. Wow, delicious! The lamb chops were cooked to a nice medium rare and served in a white bean, tomato and herbed sauce. It was really well balanced and an overall beautiful dish. Service was casual / laissez-faire and there when you needed it. Enjoyed watching the cooks in the kitchen prepare the dishes with precision and passion. Very highly recommended! Make sure you ask for their apple brandy as a digestif (Calvados), it was great.
This is a french experimental tapas bar. No where do I see it labelled as such. The menu rotates based on seasonal ingredients. I was impressed by everything I ate. The oysters were sweet, creamy and not fishy at all. The jamon de canard tasted like real jamon but duck flavored. The lion's mane dish was experimental and certainly a success. Such a wide range of textures and flavors. Asian inspired chilly oil, XO sauce, fried rice and beautifully cooked mushrooms. The almond cake with nougat, candied fennel, amaretto icecream, fried crumble was really interesting and tasty as well. Plus, the prices are great for the culinary adventure you get!
Delicious, very well-priced food. Wonderful service - our waiter translated the whole menu for us. Cozy atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Wonderful menu and service. Each dish better than the last. Prices totally reasonable. Waiter recommended local bottle of cider that was outstanding. These guys have skill. Highly recommend!
Busy little spot with imaginative dishes and friendly staff. We were seated at the bar, which wasn’t the most comfortable for dining but gave us a view into the tiny kitchen where two cooks pick records and make delicious food for everyone. Would come back again next time I’m in QC.
WOW! Since I moved here in 2020, this is THE BEST food and wine experience I had with my wife. A perfect blend of flavors and pleasure! Leo & Etienne are a duo of server that you will not find that often in a restaurant. The chemistry of them both mixed with the heated weather was the best time we could hoped for on this Friday the 13th!
Amazing! Truly a memorable experience.
Intimate and cosy, but be sure to reserve ahead of time. Superb service available in both english and french. Menu changes frequently with a focus on seasonal ingredients. Food was delicious. Flavours were exquisitely balanced. Prices are very reasonable.
