I'm shocked by the poor reviews of this place. I've been here four times and the food has been absolutely amazing each time. Two times, I brought bachelorette parties here and every single person was blown away. Eating in your bathrobes is such a fun experience! Dishes range from kale salads, to baked oysters, to duck confit, to celery and apple soup, etc. There might be 2 or 3 of the 15 dishes that I usually don't prefer (usually just because of my personal taste preferences), but typically I want to re-order everything and can't because I don't have enough room in my stomach! I usually find the seafood dishes the best (fish, scallops, oysters, smoked salmon, etc.) but honestly... it's a one-of-a-kind experience and would recommend it to anyone.
Where else can one enjoy endless tapas while lounging in their robe up in the treetop? At treetop tapas of course. I've been to treetop 3 times and each time I've been very satisfied with the dishes.
Absolutely incredible food. Some of the best I have ever had. We had endless tapas which consists of 16 progressive tapas. Worth every penny. I thought it was a little expensive at first but not for the quality and the variety of food! Great idea for a date to impress! Attire is robe and sandals.
This is the ultimate foodies experience. This was my third time there and plan on making it a yearly experience. All the dishes were great with a couple of exceptions that should be noted. I found all the dishes that included seafood to be fresh and tasty. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the meat dishes. They came out looking dry and reheated. I don't remember that happening on my previous visits so I'm chalking it up as being a time thing (I hope). Favourite dish was the Baha prawns and squid salad. The service was good but felt the server was annoyed when we asked him to take our picture. Guess he gets it all the time. Other than that I immensely enjoyed it!! Can't wait until next year :)
Unique Dining Experience!. I have enjoyed dining at the Treetop many times - most recently on March 5 with a group of 11 women for a birthday. Every time has been absolutely fantastic in all ways. The endless tapas are elegantly served and delicious. They just keep coming, and the variety is impressive. The staff - especially Paulina, Christopher and Kelsie, went overboard providing the best service imaginable. I can't say enough good things about the spa and Treetop... can't wait to get back there!
A Relaxing Experience.. Recently we decided to spent a couple of nights in Parksville and the Tigh Na Mara was on top of our list. Although in my opinion the hotel is not much to rave about, the grotto and tapas were amazing. We booked our table for 1:00pm and our experience lasted almost 4 hours. Sitting in our robes we relaxed as the 21 dishes of tapas came out slowly one by one. Dishes such as, Smoked Duck Breast (which was one of our favorites) to Raclette & Yukon Gold Potato Croquettes (least favorite). Each dish was beautifully presented, with a variety of diverse flavors.
Wow. We ate here last night after pedicures. You sit it your robes to eat which is actually a lot of fun. The food is prepared to the highest standards I have seen. It is perfectly seasoned and as there are twenty different items perfectly sized. We had the endless tapas for $45. They are brought out and explained to you in a very pleasant and professional manner. The presentation is reserved but beautiful and the flavors are amazing. I liked all that came though some were a challenge. If you find an item you are not sure about just take a little and consider the textures and flavors then a little more. Each has a story to tell. By the way guys if you have never had a pedicure as I had not , do it. You will be back.
