One of the best Asian / Chinese buffets in Ottawa. The crab legs are delectable (weekends). The sushi and dim sum is really good for a buffet. The ambiance and decor is modern and nice. They even have lobster! Love this place and come back often.

Last week, our aquafit club met there for a lunch. it was recommended by one of our members. We really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was great, and we were able to hear each other, even though the restaurant was full-and I mean FULL! It was really good food. I found the service was also very good. Most of us were seniors or almost seniors. WE felt respected. The washrooms, floor, tables, serving spaces were really clean! There was a huge variety, and good for those who are allergic to several items or who are celiac. Not only is the price very reasonable, but the quality is very good. I was so impressed, that I am reserving it for members of my family who will be visiting over the holidays. I can't wait to return! Eclipse gets a solid 5 from me!!
The negative reviews here are overly harsh. Based on it being a buffet they get a solid 4 from me. They have great atmosphere, clean, quite, and nice decor. The service is great for a buffet and they take complaints very seriously as I made one on my last visit. Food wise, like any buffet, they have strong dishes and weak dishes. I have yet to find any buffet that hits everything perfectly. In terms of selection they are in the middle. Their sushi is very good for a buffet but I only eat it if they are busy and it is rotating quickly. That said, this place is frequently busy and that alone speaks to the quality of the buffet. If you like Chinese buffets give this one a try.
I've eaten here three times now so my review is based on those experiences. The food is almost always fresh because they tend to have a lot of customers at a time. It's typical for a buffet to have lots of breaded/greasy food to fill you up, so I'm not really guna knock them there. I really enjoy their selection of food and their variety.
Unfortunately, the service isn't the greatest. The last time I was there, the servers didn't bring us water and they never even came by the table after initially serving us. I had to find our waiter to ask for water. I ordered a pina colada, bad idea, half of it was bubbles and the other half was a watery liquid that vaguely tastes like pina colada. A waiter also came by and asked us if we were almost done, this is poor dining etiquette. I don't care if it's a buffet, you're charging 20.95 for the weekend dinner buffet, don't try to rush my meal.
I will likely go back because I like their food. Also, all of the iced cream is amazing!
Actually I lived quite far away from this restaurant, but my son recommened me several times. So I just met three friends out there for dinner last Sunday. It was such a wonderful meal with so much seafood I like. I had fresh lobster, crab legs and mussels, together with excellent dessert and kinds of salad. The price is reasonable, especially for the seniors. Obviously, I am not qualified for now, but maybe several yeas later.....Also,the beautiful place with so much space is a good choice for the family party. I am going there again to celebrate my birthday together with my son, my family next month.
Delicious birthday dinner. Just got back from Eclipse; thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes and found the service to be very friendly and courteous.
Awesome atmosphere, great fresh food. This buffet is different from the others... the food is made fresh and you can taste the quality. unlike other buffets that have huge trays of stuff sitting under heaters for a long time, Eclipse brings out enough food at a time so that you can eat what you want and how much you want and they consistently replenish the buffet bar. The service is also friendly, polite and consistant.

Excellent Variety and Value, Haven't had ANY problems with service. We've been three times. Have always found the food of very good quality and variety. Servers don't speak much
English but we get our drinks promptly, don't interact much with them or the manager (I don't get the complaints
about service or the manager, it's a buffet, you don't need the servers for much and the manager just handles
interac and credit cards). They make sushi as you wait they have all the American/Chinese standards and the
place is busy so things don't sit around: everything's fresh. Since most of the YCE chinese buffets in OTT have
seemingly gone way down hill in recent years, this is now our go-to place. Price is really good and my 6YO and
8YO are really cheap (and they love the food). Try it you'll like it.
One of the best buffet I've seen so far and definitely the best in Ottawa. We went on Valentine's Day around 6pm. Lots of people but the wait didn't take more than 20 minutes. Food was amazing, just a lot of variety and fresh food to choose from. Service wasn't great, but the place was packed so, I think that's understandable. Will definitely go back.
Good eating at affordable prices. Just finished eating at the above and must say that the food was varied and exceptional, the atmosphere was modern and clean the prices more than reasonable and it was one of the best buffets I've visited anywhere. I'd give it a five star rating and have recommended it to all my friends
