our party of 7 were seated at a great table on the heated screened patio. Lots of families enjoying their Friday night. I choose the shepherd's pie which was delish for $13.00. Reasonable pricing. A shoutout to our server Brittanny B for our great service. Excellent instincts. We thank you. A Friday night bonus was after our dinners a live band sets up inside tables are moved and the dance floor fills up. Such fun! Highly recommend
Pub platter delicious! Brought my youngest Son & Niece last night, loved H&S's own draft brew mixing cider & white beer. Nice having the little quiet room off to side, like a "Florida-room", good for chatting but you can still hear the band. Will be my new go-to place in 'Farrhaven' when I need a pint after visiting family lol.
I regret not visiting sooner. The service is fantastic!

Solid Pub food, nice ambience, great kids menu. Pricing is reasonable. Great selection of beers. We will definitely be back many times at our new local.
We have been a few times for food and it is consistently good. Personal fave is the after school special, a grilled cheese and tomato soup done up fancy. Ooey gooey goodness.
Have also been a few times for drinks and dancing, and the live bands are always good, but the main attraction is the crowd. This is the opposite of the club scene, where everyone looks the same, and no one is approachable. Always a great mix of people, and we never fail to make friends.
Walk in the door and look around at a really nice place. Nice classy pub. Food is good and the staff are all really nice. This place is one level above all the other places in Barrhaven.Really like it,think I have new regular spot.
Decent late night place. I went last weekend after a late night at work. The place was packed. It certainly seems like the place to be if you are looking to be with loads of people. Unfortunately, I had to scream at my friends to get them to hear me with the band playing in the background. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if that is what you are looking for. Big cross section of ages as well.
I only had the nachos and they were just OK but this is a bar-pub so it isn't like I am expecting the world either.
The drinks were slightly high priced for Barrhaven but their bill are probably just as high as they are anywhere else in Ottawa so I guess I should expect similar pricing.
All in all it was a fun place but not a place if you are looking for conversation.

Have had 2 excellent lunches here so far... Varied menu - loved the chicken & waffles, pulled-pork taquitos...
I must admit that it's been well over 2 years since the last time I went there. The menu has changed and the club sandwich was probably the best I've ever had. Would order it again for sure. That being said, it was at noon on a Tuesday and for half the time I was there with 6 others, we were the only table of customers in the whole place until 1 other table filled up. Could be just the day of the week or COVID but I'm not sure why it was so empty. That's good I guess if you want the space but not so good from an atmosphere perspective.
Nice place. The patio used to be more open, but now it is a screened in porch, which is nice but very loud. Hard to talk. Food is pretty good, service good, inside atmosphere nice, variety of drinks (though I don't consider Bud & Coors domestic, or beer).
Had a lovely patio experience here! Staff was friendly and quick to help take orders. The beer was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the fries and they were delicious!
Really liked this spot! We stopped in to kill a couple hours and weren't disappointed. The service was great, the vibe was right, and the seating was hella comfortable.
We got to see the band Garden Variety play and it was a nice touch for the place! Would definitely return if we're in the area or find our way near the other locations.

I forgot my my wallet behind the other night, they emailed me (presumably from one of my business cards) and said they were keeping it safe in the managers office for me. I was able to retrieve it before opening. They were all very courteous and friendly throughout.
Edit: I should like to add, Hollie also took the time to come to the door and deliver it to me before the store had even opened. She was very polite and refused my insistence on a finders fee. I hope you guys pool tips when I visit next ;)
