My go to place for playing Pool and enjoying beer and have a relaxing time.
Best pool table in whole of ottawa and that's coming from a professional player.
Another awesome thing is that Glass are chilled too in which they server beer that's really great.
The reason I didn't gave them 5/5 is because of slow service on several occasion , which I guess is fault of management for having very less staff.

Came here for dinner last night. I had their 12oz ribeye, which came with a caesar salad, mixed vegetables (Carrots, broccoli, corn, onion and cauliflower), as well as dessert.
The ribeye was pretty good, and cooked properly, but it was a little on the fatty side. The salad has shaved Parmesan and smoked bacon on it, which was actually really good. The mixed vegetables were good as well. For dessert we got their chocolate lava cake which was so rich my friend couldn't finish it (I don't eat dessert).
The service was friendly, however I had to basically remind the server how to do his job. He took our order and went to talk away, and I had to tell him "I want the steak rare" because he didn't ask. When the food came, he asked if he could get us anything else, and I had to ask for a steak knife. After he cleared our plates he asked "Just the bill?" and I had to remind him that dessert was included with my meal. He was friendly, but was not on his game.
The food was pretty good though and reasonably priced. I would probably go back.
The beer and sangria tasted good. The staff seemed distant and not to care much. You can play billiards here which is always fun and there are many tables.
Great place to watch the game. Tons of TVs and friendly staff.... food isn't great but that's not what you'd come here for.
ATTENTION & EFFORT. One Sunday morning last Month I had Just arrived from out of town...maclaren's was recomended to me as the best venue for Sports....It is.
The food is o.k.and the Alexanders were cold
But is the attention and effort put in by the staff that quickly made MacLaren's my local.

Real Hi-Def. Looking for a place to watch some basketball on a Friday night with not too much going on, and was advised to come here. Its hard to describe this place because of what it offers. When you walk in, lined up around the perimeter are tables with really comfortable seating and has a restaurant feel. The servers are dressed in black tie's and white button ups, and the bar in the centre of the place had multiple taps and a good selection of alcohol. But as you look around there are lots of pool tables (even more in the back on the way to the washroom). So then you think pool hall. Then at the back of the restaurant you see 6 huge TV screens (at least 60") all in REAL hi definition (not that fake stretch stuff some restaurants would have you believe) and multiple smaller tv's on pillars scattered throughout the place.
The staff is more than happy to turn a hi def tv to whatever sports you want to watch. Most of the pool tables were in use, but there were not any rowdy patrons ruining my night.
Tab selection is your standard stuff, and only had the foccacia garlic bread to eat. I'd recommend this place for an evening of doing something without partying hard. I'm sure this place is great during playoffs and NFL sunday's
Great place! I really enjoyed playing pool here. First hour is $12 then every minute after the hour is 20cents.
The atmosphere is great. The nachos were the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend. The drinks were reasonably priced. Great for a night out

Got their food delivered and they did not disappoint! Delivered quickly, and delicious food. The cheddar bacon burger was so good, and filling! And their aoli is to die for!
Update: We used the pool tables ($12/hour as of April the 23). Great background music, sports on TV's, drinks and service.

Nice atmosphère and great service. Food was good and price was reasonable. I loved the aioli sauce.
Fantastic service, best wings in town (without exaggeration actually the best wings I've had in Ottawa). Pool tables are in great shape and a good value.
Will definitely be returning soon.
Lane was the best server I have ever had in my life. I am exiting this bar feeling like I’ve changed as a person. My entire life course has been altered from this day forth. Lane provided me with the love and warmth that my mother didn’t. If every server was closer to Lane, the world would be a better place. I can’t stress enough: if you walk in this door, demand Lane serves you.
Ordered the Classic Burger with cheese and bacon… delicious. Super friendly staff. My waiter went out of his way to make sure the Leaf game was on the tv by my table. Recommend 100 per cent. Will be back.
Exactly as we expected but was pleasantly surprised that we could eat and have a drink Durning these Covid 19 times . Would have loved to play pool also but unfortunately all tables were book I guess there were another people as smart as us that had the same idea. Our waiter was very courteous and helpful on helping us decide. I am sure if you just want to hang out and play pool or watch sports in an old fashion sort of Irish pub way this place will work out perfectly!
