We are not familiar with this restaurant but the sign by our hotel with “since 1927” captured our eyes, and our curiosity. Well, we were not disappointed. We stopped for lunch and had a healthy salad entrees which were fantastic. We decided to return for dinner to dig into that smoked meat! Wow ...what a Reuben!!!! Even the fries are awesome! This will be a regular spot when visiting Ottawa!
My family and I can say about Dunn's Famous Bank street is truly a great restaurant experience where it delivers great atmosphere with friendly service and their menu is huge they seriously have so many different things and on top of that quick service and good prices to match their delicious food

My wife and I have visited this location three times in the past year and we are thoroughly pleased with everything about our selection - the Smoke Meat Platter for 2 or 4. Wonderful, with a generous serving of fries, dills, coleslaw, and rye bread. We will be back again soon. In addition, it is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Recommend it to all.
Have been here yearly for a big family brunch post army run downtown. I must say, the quality of food and service has improved greatly since last year. Coffee is great for a diner, food was tasty, well seasoned, and good size portions. Considering we were such a large group, no mistakes were made on our orders, they came in a timely fashion, our coffees were regularly topped up, and server picked up our plates promptly when we were done. So, for a breakfast/brunch, I'd recommend going here if you're in the area. I never thought I'd say that (especially after my review last year), but the food and service was great!
Nomnoms. This location is by far the most outstanding Dunn’s compared to the downtown locations, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the amazing food that is absolutely irresistible. I now go to that specific location and my favourite burger that I highly recommend is the West Coast burger.
Tasty Food. It might not look like much from the outside... could use a freshen up on the paint... but Dunn's is a real hidden treasure. Friendly and attentive staff made you feel at home. The quality of the food was amazing... the burgers looked like they should be in a commercial or magazine... picture perfect. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and we look forward to our next visit... and try some of the other specialties.
We even got a smoked meat take out for home: Dunn Smoked Meat, Rye bread and salads.
Kids area was great. Fries were awesome. We ordered breakfast and it was very tasty. Way better than the market location food quality wise. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. Clean and up to date. Was a little cold though could turn up the heat a bit:)
I've come here several times for breakfast, and even though this location has just opened I consider myself a regular customer. The staff is not as organized as it should be, I've been making sure to only return to the same server every time to ensure a good time and it's been working well for me.
Pretty solid breakfast experience. The wait staff is excellent. I appreciate their friendly attitude and lots of coffee refills!

Love their spaghetti with smoked meat. Nobody could beat them for this menu, I really loved it! We loved Everything we tried both at Bank st and Merivale rd. Friendly staffs, delicious food with big portion and reasonable price. What else do you want?
I have been there twice around lunchtime. Great friendly service. The Jumbo Breakfast was good but the portion is too much to finish in one sitting. I like the Smoked Meat Omelette. I got a coupe of egg shells in my omelette, but overall it is delicious. I'd order that again.
Service was excellent , prompt refills on coffee, the food was delicious .
