It’s a bit hard to find this bakery, since Google Maps puts it on Peel St, but its main entry is actually on Young St (a smaller street parallel to Peel St).
The croissant was fluffy and chewy, with lots of puff pastry layers that detached easily, and most importantly, it was buttery. Something I haven’t been used to find in the US. The only problem was a noticeable oven aftertaste.
We also tried the pear and chocolate brioche, which was of the same quality. Fluffy, chewy and buttery.
The cappuccino was fine but not great though.
Pastries were delightful! Jambon sandwich was great heated up. Cappuccino was good. The pistachio tart was delicious - would recommend. Menu is only in French
I had the iced latte with a cannelé (canelé, or however you spell it). The iced latte is more on the milky side than coffee. So if you’re wanting a more dark flavour, adding another shot might be better.
For the canelé, it’s just WOW. I haven’t seen many places that bake good canelés here in Montreal, but this place knows how to bake!
