It’s a bit hard to find this bakery, since Google Maps puts it on Peel St, but its main entry is actually on Young St (a smaller street parallel to Peel St). The croissant was fluffy and chewy, with lots of puff pastry layers that detached easily, and most importantly, it was buttery. Something I haven’t been used to find in the US. The only problem was a noticeable oven aftertaste. We also tried the pear and chocolate brioche, which was of the same quality. Fluffy, chewy and buttery. The cappuccino was fine but not great though.

Pastries were delightful! Jambon sandwich was great heated up. Cappuccino was good. The pistachio tart was delicious - would recommend. Menu is only in French

I had the iced latte with a cannelé (canelé, or however you spell it). The iced latte is more on the milky side than coffee. So if you’re wanting a more dark flavour, adding another shot might be better. For the canelé, it’s just WOW. I haven’t seen many places that bake good canelés here in Montreal, but this place knows how to bake!

A nice cafe/patisserie in Griffintown. The entrance is not on the main street. We discovered through a furniture store that is connected to the cafe. A nice place for a quick coffee/bite after shopping.

The large window gives the feeling of being outside, the avocado toast is amazing, and cappuccinos are served in glass glasses. They open early everyday and sell a variety of bread and pastry. La Bête à Pain (Griffintown) is my favourite weekend morning café, where I go for hours of reading and writing.
