The black sesame Angel Hat was unbelievable! It was heavenly! So light it just melted in my mouth. I could eat the whole thing myself. Afterwards, ate the matcha cheesecake. Can't compare to the Angel Hat. $10 each..taxes included. Pricey for the size of it but ok to treat yourself once in awhile.
They only accept cash or debit. Was there on a late Saturday afternoon and a very short lineup.
I've had the matcha cheesecake and the pink one with the flower which I enjoyed very much.
For some reason I haven't tried the original cheesecake lol.
Also their matcha ice cream is yummy cus it's not too creamy and you can taste the matcha in it.
Suburban folks can now enjoy the famous Uncle Tetsu cheesecakes without trekking downtown, as a location opened up in the fall of 2016 on the historic Main Street Unionville. The actual sakura tastes neither like cherries or flowers, rather has a kick of salty sourness having been pickled in salt and
Uncle Tetsu’s recently opened their location at Unionville, which appeals to their uptown customers since their few locations are in the downtown region. They were really delayed in their opening since their initial opening was during August, but delayed until September. Since Unionville is known for their little village, their restaurant is inside a house! They’re located right beside Old Firehall Confectionery {more on OFC: 1 & 2}🙂 .
For this weekend, I took the family for a stroll in the Main Street Unionville area. I heard about Uncle Tetsu opening shop uptown back in June 2016. They finally opened in late August 2016 (beyond their original promise of July 2016). I had never bought from Uncle Tetsu for their cheese cake and thought this opportunity was the perfect chance to acquire one ...
